Vixen POV

---------------------

As we traversed the vast rock formations, Jiaro carried me to our destination. While I was perfectly capable of climbing these enormous rocks as a vampire, I couldn't help but enjoy being carried.

After taking our final jump, we were met with another mountain of rocks blocking our path. This time, there were holes scattered throughout.

Kairo entered the largest hole with my bag strapped to his back, and we followed him through the winding tunnels. They mentioned a waterfall inside, a perfect place for me to bathe.

After a brief walk, the sound of flowing water became audible, and a warm breeze brushed across my face as I gazed at the scenery before me.

The waterfall was like something out of a dream, surrounded by lush trees, grass, rocks, and flowers. The stones, many of which emitted heat, were strewn about the area. The crystal-clear water allowed me to see the stones and grass beneath, making it pleasantly warm.

"It's safe for you to bathe here; the water isn't very deep," Kairo assured me.

Excited, I swiftly removed my lab coat, undeterred by the gazes of the two men who watched me. Next, I took off my shirt and jeans, leaving me in my undergarments. My body needed cleansing, so I eagerly waded into the water, glancing at the two men.

Kairo's eyes widened, and Jiaro's lips parted slightly while his brows furrowed as they watched. Their reaction didn't surprise me; it was a familiar sight.

"Are you guys going to take a bath?" I inquired, grinning.

The two exchanged glances and shook their heads.

"We still need to gather hot stones," Kairo replied. They didn't seem eager to join me in the water.

"Maybe later," they added before turning to gather the hot stones scattered on the ground.

I immersed myself in the water, reveling in its warmth and the opportunity to cleanse my body quickly. While I swam, I moved closer to the waterfall, scrubbing away the dirt. The experience was relaxing and comfortable, allowing me to enjoy the serene surroundings.

"Vixen," Jiaro called, catching my attention. He extended his hand, offering me something that resembled a flower or fruit, with white petals enclosed at its center.

"It's a Dolhin, you can use it to cleanse your body and hair," he explained. I was intrigued by the versatility of nature on this planet. A simple flower or fruit could serve as both soap and shampoo.

I swam back toward the shore and accepted four Dolhins from Jiaro. While I did, I noticed their gazes lingering on my body. To ensure they were captivated, I exposed half of my breasts while taking the items.

"Could you show me how to use it?" I asked.

"Just pull the petals to open the center, and the sticky liquid will come out," Jiaro explained. He didn't seem to notice the double entendre in his description, but I couldn't help but smirk.

"Alright," I responded, deciding to take my time to win their attention.

After applying the Dolhin, it produced a lather that created a pleasant bubble. The fragrance was subtle but pleasant. I was impressed by the natural resources on this planet.

Following my bath, the two men returned and changed, preparing to depart with the hot stones. I took out my cell phone and checked for a signal, but, disappointingly, there was still no service.

Undeterred, I replaced the phone and took a small metal container, filling it with Dolhin liquid to preserve it for future use. The men informed me that Dolhins were scarce near their village, and they had to travel to this area just to find them. I also picked four Dolhins to plant near their village, hoping to facilitate their access to this resource.

Hours passed, and we continued our journey toward the village. While it was possible to reach the village within half a day by running, the presence of a human (or vampire) like me extended the journey to a full day.

After leaving the waterfall, we already had lunch prepared, so we didn't need to stop. The dense forest was teeming with enormous trees that blocked sunlight from reaching us, casting an almost constant shadow.

Suddenly, I bumped into something, and it turned out to be Jiaro. He had stopped abruptly.

"Shh... males," he whispered. I strained to hear the approaching voices and the rustling of leaves in the distance.

"What do we have here?" a man said.

They were getting closer, and panic began to set in. Jiaro signaled for me to kneel and crawl into a small hole beneath a tree. The hole was just big enough for me to squeeze into, and he handed me a piece of animal skin, indicating that I should wrap it around me to mask my scent.

Kairo dropped the hot stones from his bag, placed the bag to cover the hole, and resumed collecting the stones. The voices grew louder, and I strained to remain quiet and still.

"Oh, this is the second time we've met. What was your name again?" one of the men asked Jiaro.

"I'm Jooro, and this is my twin, Kooro," Jiaro replied.

The men were curious about our hot stone collection and invited us to join them in search of females. However, Kairo politely declined, stating that we were headed west and had preparations to make for the winter.

The men eventually walked away, and Kairo signaled me to wait a while longer to ensure they were gone. After about thirty minutes, he removed the bag covering the hole and pulled me out.

"Do you often encounter males during your missions?" I inquired.

"We've only come across two groups so far. The ones earlier were manageable since they numbered only six. But there was another group of twenty, and they had established a monarchy within their own ranks. They sent out twenty individuals for exploration, but we aren't sure about their true numbers," Kairo explained.

"We won't make it to our destination now. Let's find a cave to rest," Jiaro suggested, picking me up and resuming our journey. However, we were soon halted by a man blocking our path.

Oh no.
