Chapter 22: The Selene. (Story Cancelled)

A/N: So for those of you who haven't seen my little announcement, I have been thinking about a Date A Live, FFXV crossover fic to branch away from Honkai and Devil May Cry. Just, something different to work on. This is only an idea at the moment, I don't even know if I'll actually go through with it yet. I might write it, I might not, don't know yet. (I'm not I have decided)

Also, trying something a little new, you'll see in a second what I mean.

(Chapter Start)

'Welt. 

It's been a year since we last spoke in person but I needed to say this to someone and unfortunately, Tesla and Einstein aren't the people to speak to about this. Wendy has begun to develop signs of Herrscher power. Her body has grown fully accustomed to the Gem of Hope. I'm... worried, for a lack of better words. With Mei, we were lucky Kiana managed to reign her back in, if she hadn't, well, I might have done something I couldn't live with. If I can't bring Wendy back to us when she finally goes down that path, if I can't save her, I don't know how I'd cope. 

On a lighter note, Mei's gotten better with her Herrscher powers. She can now use it for short periods, similar to how I'd use my Devil Trigger. This is obviously a good and bad thing. Good because she's less likely to lose herself to her power now, but it's bad because of that short limit. I can hold my Devil Trigger for maybe an hour and a half now, but Mei's powers, something that should come as naturally as breathing to her, it seems like her body is fighting them. Was it like that for you?

"HA!" Mei let out a noise of effort as she pushed aside a Chariot class beasts strike, before jumping up and striking the beast in its head. She was forced to dash away from her current foe when a cavalier type Honkai Beast rushed towards her. 

She felt a brief surge of strength flow through her before she rushed the Chariot to finish it off.

Her Katana struck the Honkai Beat six times in rapid succession before she delivered a thrust that finished the Chariot of, causing the beast to collapse and begin to fade.

Looking to the Cavaliere type beast, Mei grit her teeth as she saw more Honkai Beasts rise up around it. 

Feeling the telltale signs of her Herrscher power tingle against her skin, Mei exhaled to calm herself before her eyes settled in a pointed glare against the Honkai Beasts. 

As the Cavaliere type charged her once more, Mei readied herself. "ODIN!" The dark-haired girl cried out, causing a distortion to appear between her and the Cavaliere type. 

Out of the distortion came a creature Mei was quite familiar with. Its double-bladed weapon cleaved into the Cavaliere type beast, easily ripping it apart with its overwhelming strength. 

The giant Honkai Beast that once hunted Mei and her friends in Nagazora, the one that had been killed by Alex, now stood before her, acting in her defence. 

"Let's go, Odin." Mei exhaled once more.

Kiana shot her guns into the Zombies, killing them before she was forced to dodge out of the way of a Praetorians scythe, after which she retaliated with a kick to the undead creatures head staggering it before the Zombie was finished off by a gunshot to its head.

A/N: As the title says, from today going forwards, Legends Never Die: Sparda's Legacy is cancelled. The Reason for this is because I've looked over older chapters, and found a lot wrong with them. Things I don't like, things I could have done better. 

So, I'm doing a Rewrite, but I'm not going to be uploading it to Wattpad. I genuinely think I'm done writing here. Instead I'll be publishing the rewrite over on Ao3 under the name Legends Never Die: Legacy of Sparda. 

I'm sorry to all those who wanted to see me continue writing this but, I can't, my muse for the story just fully died, at least, it died with how the story currently is. 

As for what this means for Honkai Huntress 3rd, well, that'll also be going under a rewrite over on Wattpad, it started of stronger than LND but incredibly slow, and in a way that has made it hard for me to write new chapters.

Again, I'm sorry, but this is going to be my final update to Legends Never Die: Sparda's Legacy on Wattpad, thank you to everyone who has supported this Fanfiction since it was first published in November of 2019.
