Chapter Six - Pancakes

This is an important update about the publishing schedule.
I will try to upload one chapter each day, around 1300 words for each one, more or less. There might be some days when I acidentally skip, because I have classes lol. Anyways, please comment any suggestions or feedback you have. I'd be happy to hear them. This is the first time I've attempted a fanfiction on Wattpad, and I gotta say, this is terrifying. Aight back to the story.

☆Marketplace☆

The portal opened to a dark alleyway, where there weren't many people around to witness a blonde girl and a greenette step out of the dark warp material.

Toga held onto Izuku's hand tightly so that she wouldn't lose him.

"Your scent is still covered up, right?" Toga asked quietly so that only Izuku could hear.

"Yep," Izuku answered, matching Toga's volume.

"Good," she said. "Let's go!" She raised her voice to a normal volume.

Izuku was temporarily blinded by the bright sun rays as the pair stepped out from the alley. He raised a hand to shield his eyes, and looked at his surroundings through squinted eyes. His eyes adjusted and Izuku gasped. His group of friends was a couple of blocks up on the opposite side of the road, heading towards Izuku and Toga.
What would they say if they found out Izuku was with a villain?
It was too late. Izuku made eye contact with Ochaco and the two stared at each other, not saying a word.

"Midoriya!" Iida's voice cut through the air.

Toga whirled around at the voice and saw 4 strangers heading towards Izuku.

"Who are they?" Toga asked cooly, eyeing Iida, Todoroki, Ochaco, and Tsuyu all in turn.

"O-oh this is-" Izuku started to explain.

"Tenya Iida! And who might you be?" Iida demanded, gesturing robotically.

"My name is Sako Akira," Toga said smoothly.

"Are you Deku's girlfriend kero?" Tsuyu asked bluntly, glancing down at Izuku's and Toga's joined hands.

"N-no she's not my girlfriend," Izuku blushed, but didn't let go of Toga's left hand. Somehow, Toga's touch helped calm Izuku's frazzled nerves.

"I'm just Zuku's friend," Toga grinned, careful to not show her sharp canines that would give her away as the notorious villain Toga.

The deku squad traded doubtful glances with each other, still not sure what to make of Izuku's lady friend.

"I'm Ochaco Ururaka," Ochaco reached out her hand, smiling politely.
Toga reached her right hand out confidently and shook the brunette's hand.

"Shoto Todoroki," Shoto nodded his head respectfully but made no move for contact.
"Tsuyu Asui, but you can call me Tsu," Tsuyu smiled.

"Nice to meet you all," Toga replied. "I'm so sorry, but Zuku and I have to go get some groceries,"

"You guys live together?" Ochaco blurted out.

"No! It's not like that!" Izuku hid his face with his free hand.

"We're just running some errands for one of our other friends," Toga explained, a little impatient by all the assumptions Izuku's friends were making.

"Another friend?" All of them gasped. Izuku could practically hear them making a threesome assumption in their minds.

"We should go," Izuku said, desperate to leave. "I'll see you guys later," he said, waving to the four.

Toga waved too, and let herself get dragged by Izuku.

"Why were they here?" Toga asked once they were out of earshot from Izuku's friends.

"I really don't know," Izuku sighed. "I'm really sorry about them," he apologized.

"Don't be sorry, it's natural for friends to be suspicious of newcomers, especially if she's a wanted villain," Toga said darkly.

Izuku bit his lip and said nothing. It was true that Toga was a villain, but she wasn't evil, like society pegged her as.

"I don't think they recognized you though," Izuku said. "They're just really overprotective."

"Well, might as get used to it if Shiggy's gonna end up the same way," Toga said light-heartedly.

"Toga!!!" Izuku whined, feeling his face turn pink. "Stop teasing me!"

"I'm not! I really think that Shiggy's batshit crazy for you," she said, keeping pace with Izuku's fast walk.

"It wouldn't work out," Izuku mumbled quietly.

"Awww Zuku, don't be like that," Toga pouted, sticking her lower lip out. "Meet him secretly once in a while,"

"I can't sneak out of UA!" Izuku said. "I'd get detention, or even suspended!" He added, horrified at the thought, but also thrilled at the prospect of meeting Shigaraki.

"Eh, you'll find a way somehow," Toga said, bumping her shoulder into Izuku's. "Also, you need some new clothes," Toga scrunched up her nose at Izuku's outfit.

"Wait, what about the groceries?" Izuku yelped as he got pulled suddenly into the nearest clothes shop.

"Pfft, the league can starve." Toga laughed.

☆Back at the LOV base☆

Kurogiri looked in surprise to find a carton of eggs at the back of the refrigerator. He added the eggs to the pancake batter mix and sighed in relief, having the most crucial ingredient in the batter at last. The quest for the perfect pancake would be complete.

"You really have to start closing your windows," Dabi remarked to Shigaraki.

"What," Shigaraki asked. "I don't open windows,"

"Your window was open last night while I was walking with Himiko. I'm just gonna say, those were the loudest moans I've heard in my lifetime. It even topped Himiko's by far," Dabi snorted.

"Hah, you sure you were 'just walking' with Toga? I bet you guys banged in an alleyway," Shigaraki narrowed his eyes.

"At least we kept it quiet," Dabi smirked. Shigaraki tched and looked away.

"How'd you even find him?" Dabi asked after a second.

"It was by accident," Shigaraki muttered, scratching his neck.

"Do you love him?" Dabi asked nonchalantly.

Shigaraki was thrown off by the question. "No," he lied.

"I've never seen you give a shit about anyone like you do about Midoriya,"

"I don't give a shit about him,"

"Yes you do. You look at him like he's a fucking angel,"

"What's the point of this," Shigaraki sighed.

"You've grown soft." Dabi snarled. "At any point, Midoriya could give away our location and that would jeopardize our whole group," Dabi said, gesturing to the rest of the league. "You're forgetting what's at stake here. You know what they'd do to Himiko if she got captured? She'd get fucking sold, a worse fate than jail."

"I'm keeping Izuku close for information that could be useful, anything about the pro heros' weaknesses." Shigaraki stood up. "I know what I'm doing," he said coldly and exited the room.

Kurogiri popped his head into the bar. "Does anyone want pancakes?" he asked pleasantly.

Also i just checked the views this morning and it was 37!!!! Omg you guys are amazing 😢🙏
Also to explain a little bit more about Dabi's wariness towards Izuku is mainly because of his dad, but also because he's bonded with Toga, so if they got captured, they'd be separated and ultimately, it wouldn't be great for them.

no dabi hate. he's cool.
