Donatello, I Can't

Chapter 22

I was so nervous, Donnie was on his way right now. I am wearing a pair of black yoga pants with a purple tank top, wings withdrawn from sight. I held the baby boddle in my hand. I could here them in the distance, so I put the bottle behind my back.

        Leo came through and gave a week smile as he saw me. Raph did the same thing. Mikey rushed past me and almost knocked me down when he jumped over the turnstile. My eyes widened ad I prepared for impact. I was sure I was almost there when I stopped. I looked up and gasped. Donnie had gashes over his left cheek. I lunged at him into a hug. He took a step back, before wraping his arms around me tightly. He pulled back and put me down gently. I smiled and handed him the bottle.

        He stared t it for two minutes, " For the smart oone, you still don't get it? Your brothers have."

        Still confused, " What are you talking about?"

  I rolled my eyes and whispered in his ear, " Your going to be a daddy." His eyes went huge and he looked to me.

        He picked me up by the waist and spun me around in the air before hugging me. I giggled and he was proud to yell, " I'm going to be a dad!"

        When he put me down he winced because my arm grazed his face. I winced and softly appoligized. His brothers came over and slapped him on the shell like it was the biggest accomplishment. I pulled him away and brought him to the lab, closing the door behind me. I squeeled and he held his arms open. I ran and jumped into his arms. Donnie swung me left and right before setting me down.

        I looked into his warm eyes and smiled softly. " I love you."

        He puleld me close, " I love you too." He kissed me and we heard someone move outside the door followed by a shush. Donnieopened the lab door and everyone fell into the lab.

        Mikey chuckled, " Hey Donatello, we were just inspecting the door."

  He let out a low growl, " Likely story. Can you leave stop doing this?"

        Raph snorted, " Your no fun!" Zexion hit him upside the head, " Sorry."

  Donnie smiled, " Ahh, just go!"

        I pulled in next to him, " You know, you suck t being a hard ass?"

  He looked at me, " Really?"

        I rolled my eyes, " Well, most of the time."

  He put his hand to my cheek, " Better." Then he kissed me gently and walked me out innto the living room. The kids rushed to me.

        Jack was the one to speak for them, " Are we reall getting cousins?"

  I laughed and nelt down just a bit, " Yes."

        They all cheared, " More kids to play with!"

  I laughed and looked around the room full of a happy family. I sighed and Donnie nudged me, " You okay sweety?"

        " Hm? Oh, yeah. I just am so happy of the family I have," I stated quietly.

        He hugged my waist tightly, " We will always be your family." I let a tear fall at the happiest thought of that.
