I stretched out and regretted it instantly. My head was pounding. I groaned and that instantly woke Donnie up. He grabbed my shoulder worriedly, " What's wrong Lilly?"
I groaned, " A stage of my pregnancy. It is a fairy thing. Can you go somewhere with me? I want you to see this."
His look softened, " Anything for you, my precious flower." He kissed me softly before getting up. He held his hand out.
I laughed, " Such a gentleman." He kissed my hand, making me blush and giggle. I took him outside and walked to the farms. He gave me a funny look as we were in the middle of the field. I smiled and fluttered.
I teetered and he got ready to catch me. I shook my head and flew straight up. I flew up into a cloud and felt a searing in my back. I let out a shrill screech as my wing shriveled up. They disintegrated and I started falling. Donnie yelled when he saw me coming down from the clouds.
He started to run to me. I was almost to the ground and I felt the rushing of blood. There was a spiraling feeling in my back. Right before I hit the ground, there was a huge, bright flash. I flew a foot off the ground. Beating my wings once, I lifted up and turned towards Donnie. He stared in awe at my wings. I now had huge eagle like wings. I fanned them out and flapped them as I slowly descended.
Donnie ran up to me, " Why did you have to do this? I mean, the dark purple wings are beautiful, but why?"
I blushed," These wings will be able to carry me throughout the pregnancy. My other wings were starting to have issues holding me up and I was constantly losing balance."
He pulled me in, placing his hands in the small of my back. I arched and he leaned down into a kiss. My wings were outstretched. I slowly wrapped them around us, but not all the way. I pulled away and smirked.
He gave me a funny look and I laughed at him. I smiled, " I can also carry you without hurting myself or the baby."
His eyes went huge and he shook his head. He started to run. I rolled my eyes and beat my wings twice. I shot up into the air. Looking back, Donnie stopped running because he saw nothing. He looked like a lost puppy. A shrill cry escaped his lips as I grabbed him by the back of his shell. He continued to scream like a little girl as I lifted him into the air with my new-found strength.
I flew effortlessly, but he held onto my arm as if I would drop him. I giggled at him and leaned down to his ear. " Hey, open your eyes sweety."
He opened them and gasped as we were just above the clouds. A gaped tooth grin spread across his face. He put his hand down and felt the cloud. I started to lower and he looked down, amazed by the city from so high up. He stared in wonder and I banked left. He was startled, but not scared anymore.
He started laughing, looked up saw my face, and laughed some more, " This isn't the first time I have flown in the air freely. I just haven't done it without the fly gear. I guess I should have told you and flown with you." He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.
I was the one to go into crazy laughter. We just laughed together. I flew down to the roof of our apartment and he ran a bit to stop. I circled back and landed gently. I looked up, only to have his soft lips press against mine. I relished in the kiss and felt alone when he pulled away shortly after.
He chuckled and helped me in through the window. Easier said than done with the GIANT FREAKING WINGS! We flew all day long. It seemed to last forever. He put me in the bed and lay down in front of me. I put my head in the crook of his neck and our legs intertwined. I fell asleep with his soothing breath on my neck, arms around me, and soft snoring.
