I woke up gently and softly, the sound of birds in the tree's, wind whistling thought the village, the sounds of feet on the cobblestones people hussling and bussling before the next lot of rains. I sat up rubbing my eyes a little but as I did I heard a sleepy little whine so I smirked and laid back down giving her a tight cuddle

"Ummm what is it romulus?" She yawns

"Hummm good morning" I smiled giving her neck some little kisses

"Again? Your insatiable you know that romulus?" She giggled

"How can I not be with such a pretty wife?"

"Alright. But quiet so we don't wake the children"

"I'll be quiet, and maybe I'll try and make us another sweet little baby" I smirked

I smirked still smiling widely as I finished up my breakfast "umm delicious darling" I told her as she went past sorting the kids giving her cheek a kiss

"Thank you, now come along you three or you'll be late" she said so I laughed getting my things and gathering up the kids

"Come on or merlin will start his classes without you" I told them which made them both hurry "see you later darling, be careful" I told her giving her a kiss

"I will, have a nice day romulus" she smiled tucking my lunch in my bag and giving my head a kiss

"I'll try, bye"

"Bye bye" she smiled

So I hurried out with the kids giving cerbrus a pet as I left heading out shutting the gate behind me.

I walked thought the village past the people and little houses the ground still wet from the rain last night till I saw where merlin was doing his classes today but I grabbed them both before they could run off "oi, doesn't daddy get a hug goodbye?" I laughed so they both gave me a cuddle "that's better now you kids run along, have a nice day with merlin" I told them both so they happily scurried off

"By daddy!" Lisbeth giggled as she ran so I smiled and continued on down the road to the little shop pushing open the door instantly smelling the beautiful smell of fresh baked bread

"Morning romulus" Oswin smiled as he worked putting a few things in the oven

"Morning Oswin"

"Your late"

"I know, I had to drop the kids off" I said putting my bag away and getting my stuff sorted going over and getting some flour on my hands "what's first?"

"Get the loaves shaped so we can get them in before the wives come in" he laughs so I nodded and began working getting the bread dough we did yesterday and sectioning it off to make loaves for the oven "how's the kids?"

"Fine, growing like weeds" I laughed

"The wife?"

"She's okay, busy but she likes it" I smiled "we uhh recently started trying. For a third"

"You ever gonna lay off that girl romulus?" He laughs

"Why would I? She is my wife"

"She ain't always been" he laughs

"What?"

"Ohh come on I'm not as dumb as this lot, she was pregnant when you got married. The times romulus the times Arthur would have been almost three months early if she wasn't pregnant already"

"Well.... Stuff happens" I shrug "when you are courting a very beautiful woman maybe one night you end up down at the waterfall and stuff happens,"

"Whatever happened to Ygraine?"

"...who?" I asked trying not to think about it

"Ygraine, the farmers girl. You where sweet on her too not so long ago"

"I know." I nodded trying not to remember

"I remember you telling me you loved her"

"Yeah, I thought I did too"

"What happened?"

".... She didn't want me. Let's uhh let's get these in the oven" I said quickly changing the subject

"You alright?"

"I uhh I don't like thinking about the past. That's all" I admit getting back to work
