Ch 8

~This is back to Reki right after you left 'S'~

Reki stood there looking at the paper in his hands. Thinking about how what you said to him before you left sounded familiar. He just couldn't place where he had heard it before. But before he could figure it out a loud voice broke him out of his thoughts.

"Ha, your skating must really suck if you lost to a newbie. A girl at that." Reki grit his teeth when Shadow said that to him, "What did you just say to me?" Shadow just started laughing maniacally "I'm pretty sure you heard me kid."

That was it, Reki wouldn't let someone diss his skating. "Fine. Then how about me and you race then? If I win you take back what you said about my skating"

Shadow looked intrigued, "alright then, if I win then I get to burn your board right in front of you" On the outside Reki looked confident, but on the inside he was freaking out. Reki reached out his hand with a quiet "deal", instead of shaking his hand Shadow just slapped it away and walked out of 'S'.

Reki clenched his fists and started to walk home. On the way he decided to pull out his phone and put in the mysterious girl's number. Setting her contact name to 'midnight' since he still didn't know her real name.

He decided to text the girl tomorrow, figuring that she would already be home by now. This 'Midnight' girl intrigued him, Reki wanted to know more about her. She gave off the same vibes that y/n did, and he wanted to get to know her more too. Little did he know the two girls were the same person.

Today was Friday so there was no school tomorrow. But he had to prepare himself for his beef with Shadow tomorrow night. Laying down on his bed Reki let out a big sigh, his thoughts went back to 'Midnight'. Wondering if she would show up to 'S' tomorrow night and watch his beef.

The red headed boy just shook his head trying to get rid of the thoughts. Soon sleep took over him and he passed out cold with a dreamless sleep.

Kind of short chapter but this is where we kind of start to line up with the story. This is my explanation for why Shadow and Reki had a beef in the first episode. Hope you enjoy!
