Reki x fem! reader: Joe's sister

Ch 14

Kaoru very reluctantly drove you to 'S', Kojro was working late tonight so you didn't see the problem. He didn't want to go in so Kaoru was waiting in the car until the match was over so he could give you a ride home.

You hobbled up the path on crutches where the starting line was. You were wearing your hood and mask but everyone knew that you were 'Midnight'. They all started trying to figure out what could have happened that you were on crutches now.

When you reached your destination you decided to just hang out by the wall. You texted Reki a quick "I'm here, good luck". When you looked back up you could see Reki running towards the starting line. But it looked as if he was searching for someone.

That's when his amber eyes met you e/c ones. He smiled, but it faded away when he saw the crutches that were meaning against the wall next to you. He didn't think that you got hurt during your race. So did something happen to you after?

Reki was worried about you. But then he remembered that Y/n had hurt her ankle when he saw her earlier. Weird coincidence huh?

But right now Reki's focus could be on Y/n or the mysterious girl from 'S', he had to focus on beating Shadow.

From where you were standing you couldn't hear the conversation going on between Reki and Shadow. But you knew Shadow was being a cocky prick just by his movements. You desperately wanted Reki to win, but Shadow looked like he would do anything to win.

When the green light flashed you pulled out your phone to try and watch the match from there. That's when you saw it, Shadow was holding little explosives in his hand. He was going to play dirty to win.

You gasped when he threw them at Reki, you put down your phone not wanting to see the boy hurt. Soon after you saw Shadow and Reki walking back to the starting line. Shadow was holding on to Reki's board.

There was a loud thud and you noticed Reki's board laying on the ground, until Shadow lit it on fire. You saw the look on Reki's face, he looked so defeated. First by you and now by Shadow.

You grabbed your phone again and sent him a text before you left to go home with Kaoru. Hoping that you could cheer Reki up, even just a little bit.
