~Back at the hospital with you~

You were sitting in a hospital bed waiting for the x-rays of your ankle and the doctor to come and let you know if anything happened. You sighed and looked down at your phone scrolling to Kaoru's contact before clicking on it.

"Hello" He sounded sleepy, guilt started to build up in your chest

"Sorry did I wake you up?"

"No. I'm fine don't worry about it too much little one"

"Okay, um, I'm not too sure how to say this but there might be a problem"

"What do you mean by problem y/n? Are you okay? What happened?" Kaoru was worried. He was about to start panicking. Contemplating if he should cut his business trip short and come home.

"Promise you won't freak out though"

"Y/n what happened?" He was angry that I was stalling

"Okay, okay. I'm in the hospital an-"

"You're what?! That's it I'm coming hom-"

"No! Kaoru that isn't the problem. I'll be fine, I'm going to call Kojiro to come pick me up once I get my x-ray results"

Kaoru was quiet so you took that as your que to keep talking.

"On my way home from 'S' I got a call. I won by the way. Be proud, stay proud. Anyway it was from Adam. He knows that I'm 'Midnight', he knows about my ankle injury, and I think he was threatening to tell Kojiro about me skating"

It was quiet between the two of you for a bit. Until Kaoru broke the silence.

"How would he know all of that? And why is he calling after all these years? Y/n I don't feel good about this. Please stay away from him until we figure this all out"

"Okay, I will. But I have to go now the doctor is coming in to talk to me. I'll see you when you get home" and with that you hung up the phone before he could reply.

You were stressed and you were absolutely dreading calling Kojiro.
