Ch 17

As you walked into the house you were met with a bored Rin, an angry Kojiro, and a delighted Kaoru. You looked at Rin to see if he would help you out but he just shook his head and went upstairs to your room. Meaning he was going to talk to you after you were done with the other two.

You sat down at the kitchen island waiting for Kojiro to start. He just sighed trying to figure out the best way to start.

"First off, who the hell was that Y/n?" You looked him in the eyes before speaking "A new friend I made, we're in the same class so I figured why not try to have another friend"

Kojiro sighed again, "I thought you weren't going to be friends with skaters anymore after what happened last time?" You quirked your brow at him, you knew Kojiro would know Reki but you didn't think he'd be honest about it.

"How do you know he skates? I never told you that" Your brother looked a little nervous. He didn't know you knew about 'S' so he couldn't just tell you about it. "Look n/n I've just seen him around.I don't think it's a good idea for you to have friends who skate."

You were angry "Look, just because you won't allow me to skate doesn't mean I can't have friends that do. You and Kaoru do so what's the difference? Reki's nice and that's what matters."

After that you stormed upstairs not wanting to hear what Kojiro had to say next. In your opinion he was just being an overprotective ass.

Kaoru sighed and looked at his friend, "She's right you know" and took his leave. Kojiro was left alone in the kitchen hanging his head. He didn't want to see you hurt again, not like before. Was he being overprotective? Maybe. But he had good reason to be. You were his little sister and the only family he had left. All Kojiro wanted was to see you smile.

As soon as you got to your room you saw Rin laying on your bed. He was just looking at his phone so you decided to flop down on top of him. Rin didn't say anything and just wrapped his arms around you. Figuring you would talk to him when you were ready to.

The two of you had done this since you were kids so it was normal at this point. You sighed before looking up at Rin "Why is it so bad that I made a new friend? I know I haven't known him for long but Reki is so genuine. He makes skating look like so much fun, he's not in it for fame. I just want to skate and have fun like I used to, with people by my side."

You started to tear up and Rin just ran his fingers through your hair. "I know you do n/n. Maybe one day"
