Reki x fem! reader: Joe's sister

Ch 16

Reki and you had spent the whole day at the skate park together. He would show you different tricks he was trying to learn and you would give him pointers on how he could master them. The two of you shared skating stories. In all you had a really great time.

Now the sun was starting to set, Reiki and you were just sitting on the bench staring at the sunset in silence. "You know, I was really nervous about becoming your friend Reki. But I think I made the right decision this time." The red head moved his gaze over to you, but your e/c eyes were still admiring the sunset.

"What do you mean?" Reki was confused, what the girl meant by 'this time'. He wanted to know. You sighed and tore your gaze from the sunset. Your e/c eyes were now delicately looking into his amber ones. "When I was younger I was a Japan National Team hopeful. There were so many people there who I thought were my friends. But I got into a bad accident while skating with a friend."

You paused trying to collect your thoughts, "after that my brother forbade me from skating. Everyone who I thought was my friend left. They were only friends with me for my skill. The only people I had left were Kojiro, Kaoru, and Rin."

Reki felt his heart clench when you told him the story. He couldn't understand why anyone would want to leave such a kind person like you behind. Reki gave you a comforting smile "well you don't need those people anymore. It sounds to me like you have a good support system. Plus now you have me, and I don't plan on going anywhere."

Your eyes widened in shock and your heart fluttered at what he said. You really hoped that was true, you wanted Reki to be one of the ones who sticks around. A small smile graced your features and you turned your gaze back to the sunset.

Reki's heart felt like it skipped a beat when he saw you smile so softly. He heard you say a quiet "thanks" before another comfortable silence surrounded you.

A half an hour passed and you decided it was time to head home. Reki offered to walk you there since he didn't want you walking alone.

The walk was quiet, but comfortable. When you reached your house Reki looked a little disappointed that the two of you didn't get to spend more time together. Before Reki turned to leave you gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, "Thank you for today, I'll see you at school tomorrow. Also let me know when you make it home please."

With that you walked into your house leaving Reki on the sidewalk a blushing mess, and you were immediately met with three pairs of eyes. One mischievous, one slightly angered, and one that didn't show anything. You knew you were going to be in for a long night.
