Ch 22

After getting the 'S' sticker that Langa needed, the three of you went to school. Unfortunately you were all late. You tried to sneak in the back door of the classroom but as soon as it opened the teachers eyes locked with yours. She started scolding the three of you about the importance of being on time. Then told you she was going to call home and inform your parents. When the teacher was finished with her scolding you could hear someone snickering towards the front of the class. You looked to see who it was, and it was Rin. Once the teacher wasn't paying attention you flipped him off and sat back in your seat.

Classes went by slowly, everything was boring in your opinion. When the final bell of the day rang you packed your bag quickly. When you looked up again you saw Suna standing in front of your desk. "Why were you late this morning? You know your brother is going to kill you for being late." You laughed quietly. "Langa, Reki and I went out this morning before school and lost track of time. Plus the school has Kaoru's number for emergencies."

"You're a sneaky bitch huh?" You nodded and laughed. "You should get to practice Rin. I'll see you at my house later okay?" He ruffled your hair a bit and walked away. You stood up and walked over to the door, as soon as you stepped out you noticed Reki leaning against the wall waiting. "Are you waiting for someone, Reki?" Your head was tilted to the side slightly.

Reki blushed slightly, he thought you looked adorable right now. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "I was actually waiting for you. I figured I could walk you home." You rapidly nodded your head, "I would really like that." The whole walk home the two of you talked about random topics and made jokes.

You hadn't laughed this hard in a long time. You liked being around Reki, there was a comfortable feeling when you were with him. The two of you were purposely walking slower so you could spend more time together. While you were walking the two of you passed a park, you saw a little ice cream truck and your eyes lit up.

"Hey Reki!" He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Want to get some ice cream with me?" Reki's eyes lit up at the sound of ice cream, he reminded you of a little kid. You grabbed his hand gently and started to walk in the direction of the truck. The red head subconsciously intertwined his fingers with yours making your heart skip a beat. There was a blissful warmth that spread through your body, his hands felt nice in yours.

The two of you ordered and argued over who would pay for it. Eventually you gave in letting Reki buy your ice cream. "Next time I'm paying, okay?" The boy just nodded in response. You both sat in a peaceful silence eating your ice cream.

"You're coming to 'S' tomorrow right?" You hummed a bit. "If I can get Cherry to bring me I will. I have to call him when I get home anyway." Reki smiled, he likes spending time with you. He especially liked that the two of you shared a passion for skateboarding. A warm feeling was building in his chest. But he didn't really know what it meant.
