you want her attention

You walked through the front door with a sigh. You felt stressed and worn out after your long and busy day.

But your mood instantly brightened up when you heard the sweet sound of Solar giggling from the sofa. You turned your head and felt your heart flutter when you saw her with that big smile on her face as she laughed along to the movie she was watching.

It made you happy to see her enjoying herself. She's always so busy that she rarely ever gets time like this to herself, so it was refreshing to see.

It's always nice to come home to her. She always makes everything better and you really needed that right now after the day you had.

You put your things down and kicked off your shoes before rushing to her side. You hoped she'd pull you into her arms for a much-needed hug and never let you go, but that's not what she did.

Instead, she continued to watch the movie. She didn't even look at you.

"Solar," you whined as you shook her arm and she finally looked over at you.

"Oh, hey pretty girl. When did you get home?"

"A few minutes ago." You frowned, realizing that she'd been so into her film that she didn't even notice when you had walked through the door. "You just didn't notice."

"Sorry, babe. I'm just watching a movie." She said and stroked your hair lovingly before looking back at the tv.

"But Solar," you whined again, desperate for a little love and attention from her after your day. You put your head down on her shoulder and tugged at the hem of her sweater and she chuckled before staring down at you.

"Yes?"

"I love you."

"I love you too." She smiled and booped your nose playfully, smiling widely when you scrunched your nose up.

"Pay attention to me. Please? I missed you today."

"I missed you too. Give me a bit."

You dropped your forehead on her shoulder with a groan. You didn't have the patience to wait for her to give you some attention.

You moved onto her lap, burying your face in her sweater as you looped your arms around her neck. She giggled happily and placed her hand on your back, letting the tips of her fingers brush along your skin.

"Please give me attention now." You said and looked up at her before you began to pepper kisses along her neck. "Please." You mumbled, looking at her as you put your cheek on her shoulder. You pouted and she leaned down with a smile.

"Okay, cutie. How about we watch the rest of the movie together while we cuddle and talk a little. Sound fun?"

You nodded and let her pull you between her legs with your back against her chest. She grabbed the blanket and pulled it over you. She put her arms around you and leaned down to press a couple of kisses to your neck.

"How was your day?"

"Long, tiring, busy." You sighed but quickly relaxed as she kissed your head. "Thought about you all day. Coming home to you helped me get through the day."

"I thought about you all day too." She smiled and tilted your head back so she could lean down and kiss your lips. "I'm happy you're home. Now I can spoil you with lots of love and cuddles and all the attention you want."

Your heart fluttered again just thinking about it. You truly love her so much and you're happier than you've been all day now that she's holding onto you.
