Nothing in your life was ever easy, why did you expect this to be any different?
You're waiting in the quinjet with Clint and Pietro, waiting for any kind of signal from Tony."Don't know why he insists we do this, he always come back smug because he" Pietro does air quotes and rolls his eyes "handles it perfectly" mimicking Tony as best as he can.
Clint chuckles to himself at the front of the quinjet, making sure he stays in position in case we need to make a quick exit.
"Don't encourage him Barton" you shout as you narrow your eyes at him.
Turning to Pietro "You know that man's ego is bigger than words can describe, but we are still his team, so stop bitching", you tilt your head to the left slightly "it doesn't suit you, speedy", you wink.
Pietro gives you a half smile as he scoffs at you. Then the radio crackles into life, startling you all.
"Are you all having a nap or ready to do some work" Tony jokingly quizzes through the radio.
You all look at each other in a moment of shock before the radio crackles again.
"Could really use all of your help by the wizard's building, we've got company".
Pietro is already gone before you and Clint even stand up.
"You know sometimes I hate that quick little bastard" Clint says as he dips and shakes his head.
You laugh and tap the Clint's back. "Come on grandpa, we've got a job to do". You both leave the quinjet and run to the address Tony gave you before the mission, as you look up you see the hovering doughnut amongst the New York skylines.
You turn the corner, you, Pietro, and Clint all stand-by Tony. Tony is giving you the rundown of the situation on comms.
"This isn't a field trip Stark, should have left the girl at home. Make sure she doesn't get in my way".
You look to your right and see a tall, dark-haired, bearded man in a cape with obvious mystical powers, giving you a scolding judgemental look. You raise an eyebrow, smirk, and scoff at him.
"Think someone needs a lesson" you say quietly enough for the boys to hear you on comms, Tony laughs and looks at the man, "big mistake wizard".
Before the man can react or question why everyone is smirking at him, your eyes are glowing blue with water coming from your hands. The wizard finally turns and looks at the two creatures who came from the ship, who are engulfed in a sphere of water.
"Go on, show him what you're truly made of" Clint says proudly into the comms.
"You can do better than that darling, give them hell" Pietro encourages.
So, with a slight glance to your right, seeing the man entranced by you. You smirk and your eyes have turned grey, and you start levitating. Suddenly all the air, breeze and debris being blown by the doughnut has disappeared and is now creating a tornado amongst the water which is engulfing the two creatures.
The man has dropped his arms, taking away his mystic powers as the creatures are clawing and gasping to get free from your powers.
"Think that's enough for now Y/N, we can take it from here. Pietro, do the honours" Tony instructs.
You drop them on the floor, they are still trying to catch their breath and haven't realised Pietro has tied them together, within the second they hit the floor.
Pietro is back with Clint as you slowly lower yourself to the ground in between them, high fiving them both as you land. The man is stood in utter disbelief as to what he's just witnessed. He slowly approaches you, trying to get a proper look at you as subtly as he can.
"I'm Dr Strange, Stephen Strange" he holds his hand out.
You look at his hand, then back up at him and then look at Pietro, Clint, and Tony.
"Next time Stephen, stay at home. To make sure you don't get in MY way".
He is dumbfounded by your response, but you turn and walk away back to the quinjet, realising Clint and Pietro weren't with you, you shout back without turning your head
"Come on boys, fieldtrip is over".
You hear their giggles over the comms, and you get on the quinjet ready to leave.
