Hadley had just gotten to camp. She was so happy to finally be back. All her friends were with her and she wanted nothing more than to spend the week with them.
"I bet I can climb higher than you," Her friend, Tyler said as he pointed to the tree maybe 15 feet away from them.
"Bet!" She yelled as she took off towards the tree with Tyler not far behind her.
She climbed up as far as she could when she heard her best friend, Teighlynn call her name.
"Hadley, that probably isn't a good idea. You can't win, you're not as good of a climber as Tyler is!" She said.
"Maybe not, but I'm still having fun and I'm not gonna get down until I win!" Hadley replied.
Everyone heard the counselor say to get down. Everyone except Hadley. She kept climbing higher.
"Why is everyone leaving?" Hadley whispered to herself.
Suddenly her foot slipped.
