Heartland- Trouble

Chapter 3

" Umm, Lyndy is sick. That's why she isn't in school." Ty said

" Uh ok. I can look after her tonight. If you like. You and Amy could go get dinner." Lou suggested 

" No, everything is fine" Ty yelled

" Ty, is there something you are not telling me?" Lou asked

" Lou, I'm sorry. I am super stressed, but I tell you about it later." Ty said

" Alright. Ty let me know if there is something I can do." Lou said

" Alright. I will." Ty said while walking in to the barn

Ty goes up the stairs and into the loft.

" Hey Ty, you should go talk to Lyndy. I have a client coming. Do you want me to cancel?" Amy asked

" No Amy, we need the money. I will go and talk to Lyndy."  Ty said

Amy walked down into the barn and Ty went to go talk to Lyndy.

Ty knocked on Lyndy's door but didn't hear an answer so he went ahead and opened the door.

" Lyndy we need to talk about what happened." Ty said

" Dad, I am tired. I also don't need you lecturing me or yelling at me." Lyndy said

" I'm not going to yell." Ty said

" Ok, well I don't care what you are going to do. I am tired. I was up all last night." Lyndy said as she fell asleep

Ty walked out of her room and sat down at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee. 

Jack then walked up into the loft.

Ty just looked at Jack.

" Ty, is everything alright?" Jack asked

" Yeah, why don't you think everything is fine?" Ty asked

" Because you seem tired and I saw you and Lyndy get home and she was slurring her words." Jack said

" Ok, maybe everything isn't fine. But I will get everything under control." Ty said

" Ty what's the matter?" Jack asked while pouring a cup of coffee

" Jack, it's just that I don't think I am a good enough father for Lyndy." Ty said looking down into his cup of coffee

" Ty what do you mean? You're an amazing father for Lyndy." Jack said

" Jack, you know what happened in my teenage years and hell even my early and mid twenties." Ty said

" Ty, you can't look at the past and think about what you could've changed. Because if you never got caught, never acted up, and always listened. You wouldn't have came to Heartland, you would have never met Amy. Marry her and have a beautiful child. You would have never got to be a partner at a vet clinic." Jack said

" I get it Jack, but I am still the worst father for Lyndy." Ty said

Lyndy had heard what Ty had just said and walked out like she had just woken up.

" Hey Dad, I am feeling a little better. My head isn't spinning anymore. Hey G.G" Lyndy said

" Well Ty, I gotta get going. Just remember what I told you." Jack said as he walked out of the loft

" Lyndy, go sit down on the couch. We have to have a discussion about what happened." Ty said

Lyndy went over and sat on the couch. 

For the next hour Ty explained to her why she shouldn't have done that. 

" Lyndy, I am going to give you your phone back. Ok?" Ty said

" Ok." Lyndy said

Ty went down to the barn office to get her phone and Lyndy took 6 beers out of the fridge and hid them in her room.

5 minutes later**

" Alright Lyndy, here you go." Ty said hanging Lyndy her phone

Later that night**

Everyone is in there rooms. Ty and Amy are asleep and Lyndy is in her room drinking Ty's beer.

She drunk calls her boyfriend.

" Hey, can you come pick me up?" Lyndy whispers into her phone

" Yeah, come out quietly though. And make sure to close the barn door." Lyndys boyfriend Jason says

" Ok." Lyndy whispers

Lyndy quietly sneaks out and makes sure to close the barn door.

Inside Jason's car**

" Hey babe, did you get the weed and pills?" Lyndy asked

" Yes I did baby. I was also thinking that we could do the deed tonight." Jason suggested

" Alright." Lyndy said

On the way to Jason's house

Lyndy starts to take the pills and the weed.

" Alright calm down baby." Jason said

10 minutes later they arrive at Jason's house.

They go inside and do the deed. 

4 hours later it is now 4 o'clock in the morning

" Jason, babe. You need to take me home." Lyndy said

" Alright, alright." Jason says

Lyndy stashes some more pills and weed into her purse and they leave.

30 minutes later they arrive at the barn/loft

Lyndy gets out and goes inside

Over the next month Lyndy starts to really get addicted to pills and weed. 

One morning Ty comes into Lyndy's room to find...
