Chapter 8

" Amy what are you going to do?" Lou asked

" I am going to go find Jessie and marry him." Amy said

" Amy no. You are married to Ty. You are just mad at Ty for the decision of taking a break." Jack said

Amy starts bursting out crying**

Amy fell into Jacks arms.

" Amy, why don't we talk about this tomorrow when your mind is straight." Jack suggested

" Ok. Grandpa, can I stay here tonight?" Amy asked

" Well of course you can." Jack said

At Lily and Wade's house in Vancouver**

In their driveway**

" Dad, are you and mom splitting up because I am pregnant?" Lyndy asked

" No sweetheart. No we're not. But we're also not splitting up either. We're just taking a break." Ty said

" Ok, if you say so." Lyndy said getting out of the car

Lyndy goes and knocks on Wade and Lily's front door.

Wade answers the door**

" Lyndy what are you doing here?" Wade asked

" Umm, I will let Dad explain. Is Nana here?" Lyndy asked

" Uh yeah, she is. Lily?" Wade called

Lily came to the front door.

" Sweetheart what are you doing here?" Lily asked

" I will let Dad explain." Lyndy said

Ty walked to the front door.

" Oh, come in, come in." Wade said inviting them both into the house

" Hey Lyndy, go to the guest bedroom." Ty said

" Ok." Lyndy said

Lyndy went off into the guest bedroom.

" So what are you guys doing here? Ecpessicaly at 12:00 in the morning?"  Wade asked

" Well, me and Amy are taking a break." Ty said

" What happened?" Lily asked

" Mom, I really don't want to explain it right now. But I was wondering if me and Lyndy could stay here for a couple of weeks. I mean of course I will help with food." Ty said

" Yes, you two can stay here." Lily said

" Thanks mom. Thanks Wade." Ty said

Ty got up and went to the other guest bedroom.

Ty got unpacked and went to go and check on Lyndy.

Lyndy ended up falling asleep on the floor.

Ty picked up Lyndy and put her in her bed.

The next morning**

Back at the Ranch House**

It is 7:30 a.m.

Jack and Lou are up and are waiting for Amy to wake up.

9:00 a.m. finally rolls around and Amy gets up from bed.

" Well, good morning sleepy head." Lou said as Amy walked into the kitchen.

" Lou, I have a headache. I don't remember anything from last night. Why was I asleep here? Where's Ty and Lyndy?" Amy asked

" Wait so you really don't remember anything from last night?" Lou asked

" No, I don't." Amy said

Lou explained everything to Amy.

" Oh my gosh. I can't believe that. I have to go apologize to Ty." Amy said

" Wait a minute Amy. Ty is coming back in 3 weeks." Jack said

" Grandpa, I really need Ty." Amy said

" I know you do. But just give him some space. You both need to think about what happened." Jack said

Over the next 3 weeks Amy had neglected her chores, she started to wear all black clothing; and started to shut herself out from her family.

Ty came back to Heartland just like he said he would.

Ty walks into the barn to go up to the loft and just see hay, horse crap, and everything out of place. Ty walks into the loft and can't find Amy. But the whole place is out of place. Ty leaves the barn/loft and goes inside the Ranch House.

" Ty, how have you been?" Jack asked

" I've been better. Umm do you know where Amy is?" Ty asked

" Uh Yeah. She's in her room. But Ty here's a warning. She hasn't been acting like herself and she is starting to wear dark makeup and wearing dark clothes." Jack said

" I think I will take my chances Jack. Thanks." Ty said walking off to Amy's bedroom.

Ty knocks on Amy's door**

" Grandpa how many times do I have to say, I don't want to talk about it." Amy said while opening the door.

" Oh my gosh Ty, what are you doing here?" Amy asked

" Well, it's been 3 weeks. We need to talk." Ty said
