Heartland- Trouble

Chapter 7

" Amy? Is this why you have been acting so weird?" Ty asks her while showing her the computer screen.

" Well, maybe." Amy said as she sat down on the couch.

" Amy what do you mean maybe. What are you hiding?" Ty asked as he went and sat down beside Amy

" Well, Ty that is my daughter." Amy said

" Amy?! Your daughter?!" Ty said

" Yes, my daughter. I was 16 when I had her so right before you came to Heartland." Amy said

" Who's the father?" Ty asked

" Ty you don't want to know who the father is." Amy said

" No, I want to know." Ty said

" Alright you're not going to like this, it's Jessie." Amy said

" Jessie? Like stuck up Jessie? What the hell Amy?!" Ty said getting up from the couch and pacing around the living room.

Amy just sat there with tears in her eyes.

" Does Jack, Lou, or Tim know?" Ty asked

" No, and I plan on it staying that way." Amy said

" Amy, I need some time away. I'm taking Lyndy and we are going to go to my mom's house." Ty said going to Lyndy's room.

" Ty no." Amy said

" Amy, I can't deal with this right now. I can't believe you would hide this from me. Does Jessie know?" Ty asked

" No, he doesn't." Amy said

" How the hell did nobody notice that you were pregnant?" Ty asked

" Well, during that time, I was in New York with Lou and she wasn't around me that often." Amy said

" Well, we still need some space." Ty said

Lyndy took a bag downstairs still half asleep.

" Ty, please don't go. Can you promise me you will comeback?" Amy said with tears in her eyes.

" I don't know Amy. We need to take a break. I will come back in about 3 weeks. But I don't think it will be the same." Ty said

Ty and Lyndy left and Amy watched Ty drive off.

Amy went upstairs to the loft and grabbed 5 beers.

She went and sat down on the couch and drank every single one.

Amy was drunk at this point. She thought drinking her feelings away was a good idea.

Amy ended up drunk walking over to the Ranch House and went inside.

It is now 10:30 p.m.

Amy walks inside and Lou was making a cup of warm tea.

" Amy what are you doing here at 10:30 at night?" Lou asked

" Ty left me." Amy said in tears

" Wha-" Lou started to say but Amy cut her off

" Then I just thought that it would be a good idea to drink my feelings away." Amy said in tears

At this point Jack at woken up since he is a light sleeper.

" What is going on?" Jack asked

" Ty left me." Amy said slurring her words together

" What? Where's Lyndy?" Jack asked

" Ty took her with him. He's coming back in 3 weeks to see if I changed." Amy said still in tears.

" Amy did something happen?" Lou asked

" Yeah, but it's something from over 30 years ago." Amy said

" What happened?" Lou asked

Amy sat down in a chair.

" So Jessie got me pregnant and I ended up putting our daughter up for adoption. But I wanted to find her. I left the tab open on my computer and Ty had opened the computer. We got in this huge fight and now he's upset with me. And Grandpa I already know your next question. I hid my pregnancy by going to New York with Lou and since she was busy 99% of the time it was pretty easy." Amy said still drunk

" I know what I need to do." Amy said
