Lyndy just looked at Jack with a worried/scared look on her face.

" Uhmm, Jack. Can you open it for me? I am too scared." Lyndy said

" Actually, don't you think your mom and dad would want to open it?" Jack suggested

" Yeah, probably. Mom? Dad?" Lyndy yelled

Ty and Amy came into the living room.

" The letter came from court to see when I go to court." Lyndy said

" Can you open it? I am too scared." Lyndy said

" Sure." Ty said

Jack handed the envelope to Ty.

Ty opened the letter and looked at it and looked at Lyndy.

" Well? What does it say?" Asked Amy

" It says that her court day is a week from today." Ty said

" Ok, Lyndy that gives you a week to think about what your going to say. Not that you have to say much. Just be honest with them." Amy said

1 week later**

That morning**

Lyndy was in her room getting ready and Ty knocked on her door.

" Come in" Lyndy said while curling her hair

" I just wanted to see how you are doing." Ty said

" I'm doing fine. Just trying not to think about it much. For I just say the truth at the trial." Lyndy said

" I love you Lyndy. Just remember that." Ty said

" I love you too Dad." Lyndy said

4 hours later they are at the trial.

" Jason, why should I give you full custody of Jason?" The judge asked

" Well, I don't get drunk, I haven't ever taken any drugs. I would be the safest parent for Kyler." Jason said

" Ok. Lyndy why should I give you full custody of Kyler?" The judge asked

" Well your honor, I am not going to lie. I have gotten drunk, I have done drugs, but I went to rehab, I got better. I have been sober for months. My parents have really helped me through this. They helped me and Kyler when nobody else was there. your honor." Lyndy said

" Ok. I see your point Lyndy. I really do. But what I am looking for is the best home for Kyler. Where he is going to have a roof over his head, food in his belly, and a loving family." The judge said

" Jason, do you have the money to keep a roof over Kyler's head? Money to keep food in his belly?" A loving family?" The judge asked

" I have the money, just not the loving family part." Jason said

" Ok. Lyndy, do you have the money to keep a roof over his head? To keep food in his belly? And a loving family?" The judge asked

" I don't have the money to keep a roof over his head, I live with my parents. I have the money to feed him, but I do have a loving family for him, I have my aunt, grandpa, my great-grandpa, cousins, and parents, and me to keep Kyler happy and loved." Lyndy said

" Ok, I have heard everything I need too. Lets take a recess and when we come back that's when I will reveal who gets full custody." The judge said

30 minutes later they were all back in the court room.

" So I have made my decision. Jason, you have the money for everything, but don't have the loving family for Kyler. Lyndy, you don't have the money for keeping a roof over his head, but do have a roof over his head. But you do have the loving family part. So Lyndy, you win this case. Case Closed." The judge explained

" Thank You, your honor." Lyndy said

" Enjoy your life with Kyler." The judge said

Lyndy, Amy, Ty, and Kyler all went outside.

" I am so proud of you Lyndy. I knew you were going to win this case." Amy said

" Lyndy, I am so proud of you too. We will help you and Kyler forever. I love you." Ty said

" I love you too." Lyndy said
