Mari's Pov

I did not want to get up.I felt like I'd been hit by a train, and then left out in the sun for a bazillion hours, and my face felt like someone had rubbed watermelon all over it. My eyes fluttered open, and I moaned in pain as I shoved myself into a sitting position. What  the heck happened?  The last thing I could remember was Jason begging for me to make him a suit. And then- nothing. It was dark out, so clearly I'd been laying in bed for a while, seeing as how it was early afternoon by the time I'd finished her job in the batcave.

I need to find Alfred. I was sure Alfred would be able to tell her what happened. But  first I was going to have to stand up. I looked warily at the ground, mentally preparing myself for how hard this would be. This was going to hurt. I swung my feet over the edge of the bed, muscles screaming in protest. It felt like when I fight akuma victims and get thrown into one to many buildings. I took a deep breath in before using my arms to push myself into a standing position. I smiled in triumph as I stood, before collapsing to the floor, my legs to week to support my body weight.

I screamed in anger, the sound muffled by the carpet that my face was pressed into. I heard my door open and close. Great. Now there were people who could bear record of what was probably the most embarrassing thing I'd ever done. Someone grabbed me under my arms and another person grabbed my feet, before picking me up and tossing my on my bed.

"Forget how to walk, short-stack?" I glare at Jason from under the pile of blankets that had been rudely thrown on top of me.

"I will kill you, Todd." I hated being called short.

"Not if you can't walk." He laughed like he'd made the best joke on the planet. Alfred elbowed him out of the way, shaking his head at Jason antics.

" What Master Jason means, Miss Marinette, is that we hope you are feeling alright."

"I'm feeling just peachy Alfred." A crash sounded from my desk, where Jason had fallen out of my chair. Well, pushed was more like it.  The kwami's had all come out and where crowded around Jason, poking his cheek and squealing. For what reason, I don't know, but it was funny, because they scared the crap out of Jason. Unfortunately, laughing was one of the many thing that hurt, and my laughter quickly turned to coughing, which turned to harsh, ragged breaths as my lungs stopped working.

Jason's Pov

Thump

Uuuuugggggggggg

I glanced up at the ceiling, laughing silently at whoever had fallen.

"Master Jason." I shrieked, falling off my perch on the back of the couch.

"HOLY S- I MEAN CRAP! Don't do that Alfred."

"Sorry Master Jason, but I believe Miss Marinette is awake, if you want answers, I would suggest coming with me. Oh, and we don't sit on the back of the couch."

"Sorry Alfred."

I opened her door, and instantly felt bad for laughing downstairs. Mari lay faced down on the floor, screaming into the carpet. It would have been funny if I hadn't been scared for her life earlier. Alfred gestures to her bed, and I understood what he was asking. I slid my hands under arms and lifted, Alfred doing the same with her legs. We tossed her back onto her bed.

"Forget how to walk, short-stack?" I dumped a pile of blankets onto her, laughing as she glared up at me.

"I will kill you Todd."

"Not if you can't walk." The look on her face made any pain that would come my way totally worth it. Alfred elbowed my out of the way and started talking to Marinette about dumb doctory stuff. I wondered around her room before sitting at her desk, fiddling with a weird looking, polka dot box sitting on it. Blurs of color zoomed out from it, pushing against me until I fell out of the chair. They blurs turned into little animals, how began to poke me and squeal loudly.

"Mouse. Bug-mouse. Very big bug." I stammered like an idiot. Marinettes laughter soared through the room, make the entire atmosphere lighter. I looked at her face, and her smile was so bright, it was blinding. And then she started coughing.

Any fun and happiness was sucked form Mari's room as she gasped for breath on the bed. I picked myself up off the floor and slid to her, unsure of how to help as my little sister struggled to breathe. The strange bug-like animals crowded around her, their faces mirroring what I felt.

"Excuse me, Master Jason." Alfred gently pushed me to the side, and forced Marinette to drink out of a steaming teacup. Where he got it, I don't know, because he definitely didn't have it when we came into Mari's room. But that was Alfred for ya. What ever was in the cup must have been magic, because Mari's face flushed with color and her breathing eased. And based off the look on her face, it tasted really gross.

"What was that. It was disgusting."

"Family recipe. Miss Marinette."

The bugs things, being no longer concerned with Marinette, turned there attention back to me, sitting in my hair and squishing my cheeks.

"Hey! Leave him alone. And Mullo, get out of his hair." The bugs muttered apologies and flew back to the box.

"What the"-I glanced at Alfred-"heck were those?" Mari frowned, looking lost in thought.

"I will tell you in a minute, but first I need Alfred to explain a few things." She turned to face Alfred, confusion written on her face. "what exactly happened this afternoon? Also, what time is it?"

"It's 11:43. And in regards to this afternoon, I need you to tell me a few things about what is happening in Paris. So it would probably be best if you go first, Miss Marinette."

"Okay. But you better clear your schedule for the next couple of hours, cause it's a long story. You don't have any vigilante stuff to do, do you Jason?" It's a good thing a wasn't drinking anything, cause it would have been sprayed all over Marinette's bed.

"You-you know about that?"

"Obviously."

"Ah-okay. I do not."

"Good. Get comfy, cause we are gonna be here for a while."
