Chapter Twenty Nine - Comfort

After class ended, Morbius and Yaoyorozu made plans to spend time with one another. They were both quick to decide to visit a fair that was happening in the city. As Morbius got ready for the date, he made his way to Yaoyorozu's Dorm, he knocked on the door and she was quick to answer. He saw that Yaoyorozu was wearing a ravishing red dress. 

Morbius: You look beautiful, Momo. 

Yaoyorozu: And you look very handsome, Michael. Shall we?

With that, Morbius and Yaoyorozu left the Heights Alliance building and walked to the fair which was happening downtown. Once they got to the fair, they saw that the fair was packed. Yaoyorozu turned to Morbius, knowing how he felt about crowds. 

Yaoyorozu: Are you sure you want go, Michael?

Morbius: I'll be fine, Momo. 

They go to the ticket counter and buy themselves tickets to get into the fair. Once they get in, they see the crowd of people going about their business in the fair. As they walked the grounds of the fair, Morbius observed the people going about their business in the fair. He saw children having fun with their parents. He saw couples enjoying their time together. He then glanced over to Yaoyorozu and smiled. 

Yaoyorozu: Michael?

Morbius: It's nothing, Momo. Just...lost in thought. 

Yaoyorozu: What shall we do, Michael? 

Morbius: Whatever you want.

As Morbius said that, Yaoyorozu looked around at all the games and rides the fair had to offer. Her attention fell to the Ferris Wheel. 

Yaoyorozu: How about the Ferris Wheel? 

Morbius: Perfect. 

With that, Morbius and Yaoyorozu got in line for the Ferris Wheel. As they waited in line, Morbius was approached by two children, a brother and a sister. 

Sister: Look, big brother! It's him! The Living Vampire!

Brother: Wow! He looks even cooler up close!

Morbius: Excuse me?

Brother: We watched your fights at the Sports Festival! You were so cool! I heard you were with Hawks! 

Upon hearing this, Morbius was visibly shocked. He could remember his appearance frightening young children. To hear these two children speaking to him out of excitement was shocking to Morbius. 

Morbius: You're not afraid of me?

Sister: Why would we be? You're a Hero! 

Brother: Can we have your autograph? 

Without hesitation, Yaoyorozu used her Creation Quirk to create a pen and paper. As she hands Morbius the pen and paper, Morbius sighs an autograph and hands it to the two children. 

Morbius: Here. I hope this is enough. 

Brother: Wow! We actually got an autograph from the Living Vampire! Cool!

Sister: Thank you so much! 

As the brother and sister left, Morbius was in a state of shock. Soon enough, Morbius and Yaoyorozu sat in one of the Ferris Wheel's carts. As the Ferris Wheel moved, Yaoyorozu spoke to Morbius. 

Yaoyorozu: That was a very pleasant experience, wasn't it, Michael? 

Morbius: It...it was. It was surreal. I can remember when my appearance would frighten children. Even as a child, I was feared as a monster. They said they saw my matches at the Sports Festival. They called me Hero even though I nearly gave in to my thirst back in my fight with Todoroki. 

Yaoyorozu: It's because people are seeing you the way I see you. They're finally seeing that Michael Morbius I know. 

Morbius: There will always be people who will see me as monster. 

Yaoyorozu: That may be, but I know who you are. You're Michael Morbius. You're a Hero.

As Yaoyorozu said that, Morbius smiled as the two kissed one another. Morbius truly felt as if he was the luckiest guy in the world. As the two enjoyed each other's company, Morbius thought about what he nearly did during the mission to rescue Bakugo. He thought about what would've happened to Yaoyorozu had he gone through with his plan to sacrifice himself. He smiled at her, grateful that it did not come to that. 

Morbius: Thank you, Momo. For everything. 

As the Ferris Wheel stopped, the two got off the cart and enjoyed the rest of the fair. As it got late. Morbius and Yaoyorozu decided to call it a day. They exited the fair and made their way back to UA. When they reached the Heights Alliance building, Morbius was about to call it a night when Yaoyorozu proposed an idea. 

Yaoyorozu: How about we watch Horror Of Dracula before we call it a night? 

Morbius: You would want to watch a horror movie? Not exactly romantic. 

Yaoyorozu: But I know how much you love it. 

With that, Morbius and Yaoyorozu watched Horror Of Dracula in Morbius's dorm. As they watched the movie, Yaoyorozu smiled as Morbius was captivated by the performances of the actors in the film, especially Christopher Lee's Dracula and Peter Cushing's Van Helsing. Yaoyorozu cuddled next to Morbius as the two watched the movie. Yaoyorozu could remember the many times they spent watching this movie together back at the Yaoyorozu Manor. When the movie ended, the two called it a night. 

Yaoyorozu: I had a wonderful time, Michael. 

Morbius: As did I. A perfect day. 

Morbius grabbed Yaoyorozu's hand and kissed it. 

Morbius: Whatever tomorrow brings, we face it together, Momo. I love you. 

Yaoyorozu: I love you two, Michael. 

The two lovers ended the day with a kiss. After that, the two went back to their respective Dorms to sleep in for the night. As Morbius fell asleep, he prepared himself for whatever challenges awaited him tomorrow and all the days to come.
