After completing the first event, the contestants participated in a Calvary Event. Morbius with the help of Tsuyu, Shoji and Mineta were able to score a victory. Only Morbius was able to move on to the final event. It would be a tournament in which one student would fight against another. The matches were then decided.
Match #1: Izuku Midoriya VS Hitoshi Shinso
Match #2: Shoto Todoroki VS Hanta Sero
Match #3: Michael Morbius VS Ibara Shiozaki
Match #4: Tenya Iida VS Mei Hatsume
Match #5: Yuga Aoyama VS Mina Ashido
Match #6: Fumikage Tokoyami VS Momo Yaoyorozu
Match #7: Eijiro Kirishima VS Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
Match #8: Katsuki Bakugo VS Ochaco Uraraka
After the matches were decided, the first fight began. Midoriya was able to score a decisive victory against Shinso. After that, Todoroki was able to score a quick victory against Sero. When that fight was over, Morbius was up next. As he was about to exit the stands for the arena, Yaoyorozu stopped him.
Yaoyorozu: Michael.....good luck.
Morbius: Thank you Momo.
The two then hugged. After that, Morbius entered the arena and saw Ibara Shiozaki standing before him. Present Mic then made an announcement on the intercom.
Present Mic(Intercom):OUR NEXT FIGHT IS ABOUT TO BEGIN! EVEN BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS HAVE THORNS! IT'S THE ASSASSIN FROM CLASS 1-B: IBARA SHIOZAKI!
As soon as Ibara heard this, she quickly jumped in to address the Pro Hero's comments.
Shiozaki: Excuse me! Please pardon the interruption. I'm not sure why you called me an assassin. I've come to the Festival in search victory, not to take my opponent's life! That wouldn't be aligned with the values of a hero, sir!
Present Mic quickly realized mix up in his words and moved on to Morbius.
Present Mic(Intercom): AND HER OPPONENT IS THE LIVING VAMPIRE OF CLASS 1-A: MICHAEL MORBIUS!
As Present Mic made that comment, the crowd cheered. Normally Morbius would take some offense to this, but this time was different. That nickname made sense.
Morbius: (The Living Vampire? Hhm. I like it.)
Shiozaki: I wish you good fortune in this fight!
Morbius: As do I.
Present Mic(Intercom): LET THE MATCH BEGIN!
When the match began, Morbius began charging at Shiozaki. Shiozaki responded by using her Vine Quirk to summon vines from her hair and begins attacking Morbius. His Vampire abilities allowed Morbius to dodge the vines while slashing through them with his claws.
Morbius: (These vines might cause some trouble. Better be careful!)
Shiozaki continues to attack Morbius with her vines while Morbius continues to dodge the vines. In the stands, Yaoyorozu and the other students of Class 1-A were in awe of Morbius's speed and power.
Mina: Wow! Look at Morbius go! I can barely keep up with him!
Kirishima: No kidding! He's like a blur!
As the other students were trying to keep up with Morbius, Yaoyorozu and Jiro recognized this display from the Villain attack on the USJ. Yaoyorozu showed concern at first, but trusted in Morbius. Back in the fight, Morbius kept his distance as Shiozaki continued using her Vine Quirk against him.
Shiozaki: You have proven to be a formidable opponent.
Morbius: The same can be said about you.
Morbius soon realized that he was in a tricky situation. Shiozaki's Vines could not only keep him at a distance, but attack him from afar. At this point, Morbius wanted to end this fight quickly.
Morbius: (If I can get close enough, I should be able to end this match quickly!)
As Morbius set his plan in motion, he began charging at Shiozaki. Sensing something was up, she began sending Vines towards Morbius. Morbius was able to dodge the Vines. As Morbius got closer, Shiozaki summons a thick wall of vines to try and protect herself from Morbius. Morbius begins slashing through the vines. In the stands where Class 1-B were standing, they were closely observing the match.
Tetsutetsu: Man that Morbius guy is not letting up! He's seriously cutting through Ibara's vines like they're nothing!
Monoma: Praising the monster are we?
Kendo: Monoma, lay off the guy!
Monoma: My point still stands. He'll snap. Knowing him, he'll snap and whoever he's fighting will be in for a horrid time.
Back in the fight, Morbius continues to slash through the Vines with his claws. Eventually, Morbius was able to cut through the Vines and reached Shiozaki. Before she could react, Morbius grabbed her by the neck.
Morbius: You fought a good fight, but it's over.
Shiozaki tried to used her Quirk, but Morbius restrained her. As he restrained her, his thirst began to build up as he saw her blood pulsing through her neck.
Morbius: (No....not now....)
The thirst grew as Morbius tried to fight back. To prevent the thirst from taking over, he dropped Shiozaki out of bounds.
Present Mic(Intercom): AND HERE WE HAVE IT FOLKS! THE WINNER OF THIS FIGHT IS MICHAEL MORBIUS OF CLASS 1-A!
As the thirst was beginning to die down, the crowd began to cheer for him. Despite nearly losing himself to his thirst, Morbius calmed himself as looked to the crowd. His main attention was Yaoyorozu.
Morbius: (Momo.....)
Morbius smiled to himself as he walked over to Shiozaki.
Morbius: You did well Shiozaki.
Shiozaki: It seems Monoma was wrong about you. You're not a monster.
Upon hearing this, Morbius's smile grew larger as Shiozaki gave him that compliment. But this fight was only the beginning. He knew that this was far from over. If Morbius was going to get far in the Sports Festival, he was going to have to give it all he's got.
