After a brief intermission, the Sports Festival continued. Morbius and Todoroki made their way to the arena. Both Morbius and Todoroki kept their eyes on one another as Present Mic announced the fight.
Present Mic(Intercom): WE GOT OURSELVES ONE HECK OF A FIGHT COMING UP FOLKS! WE HAVE 1-A'S LIVING VAMPIRE GOING TOE TO TOE AGAINST HIS CLASSMATE SHOTO TODOROKI! CAN MORBIUS END TODOROKI'S STREAK OR WILL TODOROKI CONTINUE HIS WINNING STREAK?!
As the crowd began to cheer for both combatants, Yaoyorozu looked from the stands with concern in her eyes. She then turned her gaze onto Bakugo who was intently watching the fight. Soon enough, Present Mic made an announcement.
Present Mic(Intercom): CLASH!
As the fight began, Todoroki sent a wall of ice towards Morbius in an attempt to encase him in ice. Morbius used his enhanced speed to dodge the ice. Morbius had studied Todoroki's matches against both Sero and Midoriya, but Todoroki had seen Morbius's matches against Shiozaki and Iida. Both knew their strengths and weaknesses.
Morbius: (My speed should be able to outmaneuver his ice. But he'll know this too....I'll need to be careful.)
Todoroki continued to shoot walls of ice towards Morbius, but he proved too fast. Soon enough, Morbius saw an opportunity.
Morbius: (An opening! I have to capitalize on it quickly!)
Morbius then moved in on Torodoki and slashed at his face with his claws. On instinct, Todoroki activated the Flame part of his Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk. The left side of his body burst into flames. Morbius tries to back away quickly, but Todoroki shot a small fireball towards Morbius. As Morbius backs away, the fireball graces his right side. Seeing this, Yaoyorozu becomes more concerned.
Yaoyorozu: MICHAEL!
In the arena, parts of Morbius's PE Uniform had been burned away. Despite the fire only glancing him, the burns were beyond painful for him. He lets out a painful scream that echoed throughout the entire stadium. His cries of pain soon turned inhuman. His eyes shot red and his Vampiric instincts took control. Morbius charged at Todoroki with blinding speed and began viciously assaulting him with his claws. In the stands where Class 1-B was, Monoma smirked to himself.
Monoma: Looks like I was right. The monster's lost control. They might have to stop the fight.
Kendo: I mean the guy was hit by a fireball, for crying out loud! How would you feel if you got hit by that?
Monoma: The only difference between me and him is that he's a beast waiting to embrace his nature. Now that beast is on full display for all to see.
In the 1-A stands, Yaoyorozu was visibly concerned for Morbius. She couldn't imagine the kind of pain he was in. She began tearing up as she saw Morbius go berserk. Some of the other 1-A classmates became concerned.
Sero: That fire must've hurt....
Ochaco: I can't even imagine the kind of pain he's going through....
Toru: That scream.......
Kirishima: I think Todoroki better watch himself now. I think Michael might've......
Yaoyorozu couldn't watch and listen anymore as he walked out of the stands to get some space. Her anxiety was too much as she took several deep breaths. Jiro soon approached her and sat next to her.
Jiro: It's okay Yaomomo. He'll be fine....
Yaoyorozu: Jiro....you don't understand. Michael....he's lost control.
Jiro: You like back in the Battle Trials?
Yaoyorozu: It might even be worse than that. The pain he's in.....I can't even imagine. Todoroki is in serious danger.
At this point, Jiro understood what Yaoyorozu was saying. She had witnessed firsthand of Morbius's loss of control. She hugged Yaoyorozu as the stress of what was happening began to take effect. Soon enough, Yaoyorozu calmed down and returned to the stands to watch the fight. Back in the fight, Morbius had turned into a wild animal. Todoroki could barely muster up an attack. Morbius began slashing at Todoroki.
Todoroki: Damn it.....damn it! DAMN IT!
Todoroki then shot both fire and ice and Morbius to keep him at bay. Seeing an opportunity, Todoroki shot a combined attack of fire and ice at Morbius. The steam soon blanketed the entire arena, but an unearthly scream was heard. When the steam cleared, Morbius was on one knee. He looked Todoroki dead in the eye as he got up. Seeing Todoroki bleeding sent Morbius off the rails.
Morbius: Blood.....
Morbius began walking towards Todoroki with bloodlust in his eyes. Todoroki felt fear restricting his movements as Morbius kept walking.
Morbius: Blood......must......feed......
Morbius got closer and closer to Todoroki until he was able to grab Todoroki by the neck. The beast was in full control and Todoroki was completely paralyzed by fear. Morbius prepared to bite down on Todoroki's neck to drink his blood. Soon, all became still. Todoroki looked at Morbius and saw that he was unresponsive. Todoroki soon broke free of Morbius's grip. As he did so, Morbius collapsed.
Midnight: MICHAEL MORBIUS HAS BEEN KNOCKED OUT! SHOTO TODOROKI IS THE WINNER!
Present Mic(Intercom): WELL HERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS! SHOTO TODOROKI HAS SCORED THE WIN AGAINST THE LIVING VAMPIRE! BUT WHAT A PERFORMANCE FROM BOTH CONTESTANTS!
As medical staff took the unconscious Morbius to the medical bay, Todoroki was shaken by the fight as he witnessed the true extent of Morbius's power. That sheer display of power terrified the stoic UA prodigy. In the stands, Yaoyorozu rushed to the medical bay to see Morbius.
