As the Joint Training Exercises began, the first battle ended in a victory for Class 1-A. After that, Morbius joined up with his teammates in the second round. As both teams were given time to prepare, Morbius was preparing himself for the battle to come. He glanced over to Yaoyorozu who was seen speaking to Itsuka Kendo from Class 1-B. After a moment, Yaoyorozu approached Morbius.
Morbius: What happened?
Yaoyorozu: Nothing, Michael. We wished each other good luck.
With that, the two team set out on their battle. As Team 1-A moves through Ground Gamma, Yaoyorozu instructs Tokoyami to scout for the opposing team as planned. Tokoyami complies and sends out Dark Shadow across the arena ordering him to report back once he finds the opposing team. After some time, Tokoyami senses something.
Tokoyami: Dark Shadow has located the enemy team. It seems they're directly in front of that towering smokestack.
Suddenly, something stirs Tokoyami.
Tokoyami: Everyone scatter! Dark Shadow! To me!
As they march through the battleground, Class 1-A's team sees Dark Shadow return. Suddenly, Dark Shadow attacks Tokoyami, prompting Morbius to step in and attack Dark Shadow. Tokoyami attempts to retrieve Dark Shadow, but he finds that Shihai was manipulating him.
Morbius: It's time you all felt the true power of the Living Vampire!
As Morbius says this, he transforms himself into a swarm of bats and attacks the Class 1-B team. As the swarm of bats attack the Class 1-B team, Kendo turns to Komori.
Kendo: Looks like Morbius is trying to overwhelm us with his bat swarm. You know what to do.
Komori: Heh. Mushrooms for all! Mushrooms for everyone!
As Komori says this, she activates her Mushroom Quirk. Immediately, mushrooms begins sprouting on the bats. This forces Morbius to cancel his bat swarm attack and revert back to his regular form. However, mushrooms begin sprouting from his body.
Morbius: (Not good....)
Morbius glances over to Komori and glides towards her. As more mushrooms begin gliding on his body, Morbius manages to grab Komori and bite her. As he begins to suck her blood, Morbius pulls away and kicks her in the face. Immediately after that, Morbius was attacked by Kendo who lands a punch with her Big Fist Quirk. The force of the punch knocks Morbius back several feet. At this point, Morbius is forced to retreat. As Morbius glides away to a nearby building, he glances over to see Yaoyorozu trying to rally her team.
Yaoyorozu: Stay calm, everyone! We need to regroup!
At this point, the battle began to turn against the Class 1-A team. Even Morbius found himself overwhelmed. Soon enough, Morbius and Yaoyorozu found themselves battling against Kendo.
Kendo: I'm not giving you time to think!
As Kendo moves to attack, Yaoyorozu uses her Creation Quirk to form several metal shields around herself. Kendo begins battering the metal shields with her fists. During this, Morbius was able to slip away in the darkness.
Kendo: We can make this an endurance test if you want to! But you have to use materials from your own body to create things! So there's no way you're going to outlast me, Yaoyorozu!
As Kendo lands the final punch, she destroys the shield and knocks Kendo back several feet. Suddenly, Morbius tackles her to the ground.
Morbius: You still have me to worry about!
Morbius bites down at Kendo's throat and begins to drink some of her blood. Kendo manages to knock Morbius away.
Kendo: Not bad, Morbius! But it's going to take more than a bite to take me down!
Morbius: It wasn't meant to take you down. It was meant to put more fuel in the tank. You planned this attack very well, Kendo. If you kept up the attack on me any longer, you would've overwhelmed me. But thanks to your blood and Komori's, I can keep going for a little longer!
Morbius then snarls at Kendo as he lunges at her. Before she could swat him away, Morbius pins her to the ground. During the struggle, Morbius bites down on Kendo's neck to drink more of her blood. Kendo groans in pain as she knocks him off. As she gets up, Kendo begins to stagger. However, Morbius began to feel his thirst for blood beginning to take hold of Morbius.
Morbius: (No....not now!)
As Morbius began to fight his thirst, Yaoyorozu could see that Morbius was struggling to keep his thirst in check.
Yaoyorozu: Michael.....
At this point, Kendo began to see that something was wrong. As Morbius began to walk towards Kendo, he stopped and glanced towards Yaoyorozu. He couldn't bear for her to see him losing control again. Suddenly, a barely conscious Yaoyorozu uses her last force to generate a rope with which to tie herself to her rival along with the cannon.
Yaoyorozu: Michael.....
Before Yaoyorozu finish her sentence, she loses consciousness due to a powerful blow that Kendo gave her.
Kendo: What the....
When Kendo turned to Morbius, he could be seen walking towards her. Morbius's eyes were bloodshot red while he gnashed his fangs. Kendo was paralyzed with fear as Morbius closed in on her. But as he softly growled, Morbius stopped in his tracks. Kendo takes several deep breaths as she looks into Morbius's eyes. After a moment of uneasy silence, Morbius collapses. As that happened, Kendo took a few moments to gain her composure. After that, Kendo drags the unconscious Morbius and Yaoyorozu back to the cage to lock them up. It wasn't long before the rest of the Class 1-A team was subdued. Class 1-B sends all four members of Class 1-A to jail and wins the set 4-0. With that, the Joint Training Exercise between Class 1-A and Class 1-B would continue.
