Cass P.O.V

"Okay so Cass. If the boys like the songs you have, maybe they could release a music video." Liam said taking a seat.

"I'm sorry, what songs are you talking about?" Michael asks finally looking up from his phone.

"Oh right, here." I said handing him my papers.

After he read the paper he said,"I really like Heartbreak girl."

Calum didn't ask but he took the papers from him and started reading. He nodded in agreement and passed them down for Luke and Ashton to read.

"We should record this." Calum said.

"Yes you should. Cass, we'll let you take a look at the equipment if you like." Harry said smiling.

I gasped, got up, and gently pushed Harry away to look at the equipment. I was in awe looking at it. I knew what each button meant.

"I know right." A random voice said probably noticing how amazed I was. I looked up and it was Alex Gaskarth.

Oh my fucking god, I could've fainted.

I gasped and ran in for a hug. Realizing how dumb that was I pulled back and said, "I'm so sorry, I'm a huge fan of yours."

"It's alright. I've noticed you're into songwriting?" He said guessing.

"Yeah, well this is my first time with this type of equipment." I said chuckling shyly.

"That's good." He turned over to the boys who were in awe and said, "I'm guessing you're fans as well?"

"Uh yes. Yes we are." Luke said coughing to cover up his voice crack.

"Well guess what. I'm a huge fan of your videos." Alex said taking a seat.

"Really?!" Michael asked smiling.

"Yeah. One Direction called me in and we checked out your videos. They're rad. You guys have talent." He said smiling.

The boys were definitely enjoying this conversation. I listened and felt really happy for their success.

I still examined the recording equipment. I felt the need to start recording right away. I still had to wait for them.

They talked for a while and I took it as an advantage to continue working on the songs. I changed multiple lyrics and solos.

I liked how it ended and went towards another song with a different approach. Some were good and some just didn't feel right.

I didn't take the time to throw away the ones I didn't like because maybe Alex might help with the songs.

I also went back and forth in my head between letting them use some of my personal songs or not. It was a big decision but I didn't think of it much.

Ashton came over and sat next to me. "Hey." He said. "Hey." I said scribbling random thoughts onto the paper.

"What are you writting?" He asked leaning in to take a look at my paper.

"A song." I said looking up.

"Can I read it?" He asked.

"I don't know. I don't think you might like it, plus it's a little bit personal." I said covering up the papers with my arms.

"Define personal." He said.

"Family." I said looking deeply into his eyes.

I could tell he knew what I meant. I knew he was thinking of my mom's death. It was rough on him to come into my life and have that thrown at him.

What are you supposed to do in that kind of situation?

Anyways, he nodded and watched me write. I didn't mind but I still felt like he was trying to get a look at what I wrote.
