Chapter 22||How bad could this be?||

Ash P.O.V

She came on top of me. My face close to hers. She bit her lip which drove me crazy so I kissed her. My hands found their way to her bum. Dammit Ashton. Don't be rude. I suddenly pull back afraid she didn't like that. She smiled got up and walked to the stool.

"What are you so busy doing?" I ask quite curious.

"Some songs." She says looking up from her paper.

"We can't take your songs, they're really good and all but they are yours." I reassure her.

"I know but you can have them. I'm just going to fade away so, might as well you know." She said, her voice breaking near the end.

"I wouldn't worry about it." I say concerned. She smiles, I know it's fake, and continues typing.

Not that long afterward the boys come back clean and dressed. "Cass we're going to that hotel place." Calum breaks the awkward silence. "Okay, do you want me to drive?" She asks looking up from her paper. "Uh no its fine Ashton will take us." He said.

"Do you want to tag along?" Luke asks. "It's okay I'm just going to be here." She says scratching the back of her neck. "Uh ok bye. " Micheal says opening the front door. I kiss her forehead goodbye and drive to the hotel.

We start practicing and the entire time, I was thinking of her. A ton of questions popped into my head but I ignored them and continued playing the drums.

You know how baseball players say that they are in the "Zone"? Well they aren't joking, I was seriously in the zone. My body completely took over.

The practice ends and we drive to Cass' place.

Cass P.O.V

I had nothing to do. I enjoy editing things and taking pictures or really just watching tv but I was bored. I pumped up the volume on my speakers to fill the entire house with music. Not only was the music loud but so was every neighbor in the block. By force I turn off the music and just relax.

I get the sudden urge to talk to the girl from earlier. So I go ahead and do it. Luckily I already took a shower and got dressed. Walking over to the girls house I think of good ways to introduce myself.

I knock on the door and it's the girl who opens the door. She gasps and says "Oh my god! It's you!" I smile brightly and say "Of course, I promised on talking to you so I'm here." She smiles and pulls me into her house.

It has the same structure as mine but a different style. Since they barely moved in, there is still some work to do and suit things better. I instantly think of different ways to make it much better. I nearly trip over a box for looking around too much.

She led me to her couch and we talked for a while til we got to the point that we were hungry. Her mom was a nice lady with a great taste in cooking. Her dad wasn't there, he was having a meeting at his job. The food was great and so was hanging out with Denise. The girls name is Denise.

It was getting late and I realize the boys would get back anytime soon. "I need to go now, really nice talking to you bye!" I say giving her a tight hug and walking back. I don't see Ashton's car which is a good sign, the band is probably really into the practice.

I lay on the couch and turn on the tv. I fall asleep fully clothed with the tv still on. The boys tell me the next morning they came in found me asleep and slept over.

Next morning we all had school. I rapidly got ready and drove Calum to school. The school day went surprisingly fast and as I walk to my locker the words "Slut" and "bitch" were written on my locker. I look around to see if the person who wrote it was there. I hear laughter and turn around to see some girls.

I've heard of them but never talked to them. There's three of them and the one in the middle is Rebecca, she dated Erik and Ashton. The one to her right was Stacy, she dated half of the basketball team. The one to her left was Sam, she's the one who I forget most about. All of them walk in the same pattern to me.

"You wrote this?" I ask raising one eyebrow.

"You know damn well to stay away from Ashton." She said nearly screaming.

"Ashton goes to another school. Who died and made you queen?" I sassed.

Both Sam and Stacy's mouth drop.

"Well if he hurts you like he did me, we won't be sorry." Rebecca says acting as if I would listen.

I roll my eyes and rub my sweater against the locker in hopes it comes off. They walk away and I walk to my car. Calum is already there. I drop him off at his house and I drove to the diner. My job.
