Chapter 4 ||Real me||

Ash P.O.V

"I've done self-harm..." Cass said.

I looked at her shocked. I tried to remain cool by asking her "Where?" Before she could answer I looked at her arms. No scars. "Show me please." I said because I really wanted to know.

She stood up and started taking off her pants. She turned to the side and on her thigh I see all the cuts. "So many of my 'friends' don't care about me. When I'm with the boys they make my pain go away and I feel a little bit better." Cass said sniffling. I knelt down and as awkward as it may be I kissed her scars.

"I'm sorry if I hurt you but this is how bad things are for me sometimes" Cass said looking down at me. "You didn't hurt me, just don't do this again. I'm here for you" I told Cass looking into her eyes. "Thank you" she said hugging me.

"Now do you have some lemon?" I asked this question because if she does I can use it to clear the bruises. "Yeah its in the fridge" she said. I ran down the stairs found the lemon and asked her to show me all the places with bruises.

While I was applying the lemon she asked "I'm not perfect, but why did you choose to help me? A lot of people freak out and run away." I said "I stayed because you aren't afraid to be yourself, I've seen so many girls who fake being themselves. That's not attractive." She smiled and wiped the tears off her face.

Cass P.O.V

I was terrified on telling Ashton about my scars. I've only known him for a couple days and I all of a sudden bring this up. It felt nice telling someone about this and having them not get freaked out by it. I told Calum about my scars last year and he was scared at first but he saw how much I needed him. I really wanted to kiss Ash but then again I've only known him for a while. At least I know I have a true friend.

When he finished clearing my fresh bruises he hugged me again and told me not to worry and to be strong. He left and I decided to watch a movie. Halfway through the movie I get a text from Calum, Michael and Luke all of which were asking a similar question.

Michael: Hey um can I come to your house later, I want to um comfort you after what happened today.
Me: sure, I'll let you know when

Calum: did you tell Ashton about your scars? all of us know about your scars so you don't have to worry. Can I come over later?
Me: I know and thanks for you guys not freaking out and sure I'll tell you when.

Luke: Cass um can I come and hang out? I know what happened today sucked so I want to make it up to you.
Me: of course! I already have Cal and Mikey wanting to come to my house so I'll tell you when you can go.

Calum came to my house later that day and he brought some of my favorite candies. "I thought they might make you feel better" I smiled and quickly hugged him. "Thank you so much" I said. We went up to my room and watched The Hangover. We were laughing so hard, it really made me smile and happy.

I ate nearly half of the candies with Calum "So you did show him the scars?" He asked eating a candy. "Yeah, I felt the need to. I can trust him, plus he didn't get scared or disgusted" I said opening the wrapper of a candy. He smirked and said "You mean a lot to us, even though we're just dudes in high school." Aww I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. 

He had to go because it was late and we had school tomorrow so I said bye and changed into my pijamas. I had a good sleep and I felt great. The next day I was going to spend the day with Michael.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm and I took a shower put on jeans a super hero shirt, converse and some bracelets. I put a ton of makeup on my eye to hide the black eye. I let my hair down too. I ate cereal grabbed my bag and head outside. Calum was there waiting so I got in and drove to school.

I hoped Erik wouldn't push me over again or hurt me. I went to math class and Calum said we have a substitute. "Let's have a break, you can listen to music and use your phones" said the substitute.

In one of my classes that I have with Erik, I could hear him and some of his dick friends talk about the fight yesterday. It didn't bother me but I wanted Calum to be here so I could ignore them better.
