Chapter 13 ||Surprise at work||

Cass P.O.V

It's been two weeks since my mom died and since Ashton asked me out. I have a new routine as well as a job.

I wake up, shower, get dressed, eat breakfast and go to school. After school I drop off Calum and change into my uniform. I drive to the diner and wait for people to come in.

"Table for how many?" I ask eyes glued on my paper. I knew people came, I heard the footsteps.

"4 idiots please" a familiar voice says. I look up and see Michael, Luke, Calum and Ashton smiling.

"Right this way." I giggle leading them to a table. I hand them the menu's as I ask "What would you like to drink?" They all answer with coke except Luke, he asked for lemonade.

I bring the drinks and I ask "Are you ready to order?" They tell me what they want and I write it down. "Ok you're food will get here at around 20 minutes." I say smiling and walking to the kitchen to place the order.

A while later, I come back with the tray of food. "Yas!" Michael says taking his plate. "Enjoy your food" I say with a huge smile. "Thank you Cass."They say half of them with food already in their mouths.

Once they finished I took their plates and asked "Would you like anything for dessert?"

"Do you have The best ice cream dessert ever?" Ashton asks clearly thinking the same thing I am.

I giggle. "We don't have that but we have root beer floats." As I say so Ashton makes a frown. "No,we're good." Michael says smiling. 

"Ok, are you paying cash or credit?" I ask then suddenly all take out fifteen dollars. Calum and Michael had the most crumbled money. I took the money went to the cashier and took out the change. "Here's your change." I place the money at the center of the table.

They leave saying thank you and Ashton kissed me on the cheek.

I smile and continue doing my job. When my shift is over I drive home, and who do I see there? The four idiots from earlier. I hug them and Luke says "Did you like our acting?" I laugh and nod. "We were hungry and didn't know what to eat so we went there." Michael says sitting on the hood of Ashton's car.

We go inside and watch tv. I change into my regular clothes and make myself a sandwich. As I'm doing so Ashton comes from behind me and hugs me, hands on waist. I get a little scared but I turn around and kiss him. "Sucks you aren't working at a place where the girls are wearing super short things." He says kissing my neck.

"I don't like those places, plus that diner pays well." I say eating my sandwich. Ashton follows me to the couch were the boys are watching some movie. 

It gets late and I fall asleep. Ashton carries me bridal style upstairs and into my room. Placing me on my bed he kisses my forehead and closes the door.

I wake up to see all the boys in my room. "What day is it?" I ask rubbing the crust off my eyes. "It's still the day we went to the diner." Calum says. I nod and ask why they were here. They explain to me that they got bored and when they came here they saw my scars on my leg. "Did you cut again?" Ashton asks with desperate eyes. I didn't say anything. I enter my bathroom and get the blade. I go back and point to it making sure they see me throwing it away.

"Thanks but you didn't answer his question." Luke says.

"The night of the funeral I went to the bathroom and did five more cuts." I say scratching the back of my neck. They all look at me with a both shocked and worried look. They look like they understand that I did it because I was depressed of my mom's death.

"I'm sorry." I say looking at all of them. Some are looking at the floor others are looking around the room. Ashton's eyes are locked at me.

I hug each of them. I knew they didn't want this and neither did I. They all have to go so they say bye and Ashton stays behind.
