Hey guys wassup, this is not an update but an author note to make my life much more easier by giving details of the charactes of my story. LETS GO!!!!
#Fact 1: SHANTA- Sister of Ram, Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan
Shanta is a character in the epic Ramayan. She was the daughter of king Dasarath. Later she was adopted by king Romapada of Anga Pradesh. They decided to give them their daughter Shanta. Rompadh and Varshini, they were very happy with their decision. It is said that they took care of the girl, with more care than they would have done of their own child. Shanta thus became the princess of Anagadesh.Rompad was a good friend of Maharaja Dasharatha as both of them were educated at the same ashram. Later, Shanta was marriaged to sage Rishyasringa. Hence, she was married to him and the sage was given position of a prince in the Anga Kingdom.
Shanta was married son of the legendary Indian Hindu sage! don't forget that.
Shanta was educated in the , arts, craft as well as in warfare, and was considered to have been very beautiful. One day, while her father, the king Romapada, was busy in conversation with Shanta, a sage came to ask for help in cultivation in the days of the monsoon. Romapada did not pay attention to the brahmin's plight. This irritated and enraged the brahmin, who left the kingdom was a devotee of rain god. The god of rain, was unable to bear the insult to his devotee, so there was little rainfall during the monsoon season resulting in drought in kingdom. Meanwhile, Dasharatha wanted a son to continue his legacy and to enrich his royal dynasty. It was advised that the troubles of both kingdoms could only be alleviated by performed by a brahmin with powers that come from observance of perfect chastity and that the only such person was Rishyasringa.
Rishyasringa had been raised by , isolated from society without knowledge of women. He had to be brought to the city and be persuaded to carry out the necessary yajna ceremonies. Despite their fear of the power and anger of Vibhandak Rishi, both kings send young women to introduce the boy to the normal society, then Shanta fulfils this task and Rishyasringa marries Shanta, he then agrees to perform yajna for Angadesh king, during the recitation of it, it rained heavily, the public rejoiced and there were festivals in Anga.
Rishyasringa also performed a Putra Kameshthi for Dasharatha to beget progeny, and as the consequence of the said were born: Ram, Bharat, and the twins . There is a temple at yaddaladu a small town near Karnataka, where idols of Shringa Rishi and Goddess Shanta are hosted. Shanta is said to have nursed Dasharatha on his death bed.
Note- Shanta is not abonded by King Dasarath but he gave her for adoption to his childless friend. Dasarath also loves Shanta. Dasaratha didn't crave for sons deseperately he only wanted a person who can continue his legacy.#dasarathadeservesrespect!
Funny thought: Lord Krishna is also related to Shanta!!!!!!!!!
Reasons------
Romapada was the youngest son of king Vidarbha. Vidarbha had many sons but his friend King Dharmaratha of was heirless. Thus, Dharmaratha adopted Romapada. When Dharmaratha grew old, he made Romapada the ruler of Anga.
After Dharmaratha retired to the forest, Romapada became the King of Anga. He married Varshini who was the elder sister of (mother of Ram). Kausalya's husband - King of Anga was Romapada's childhood friend. Romapada and Vershini did not have any issue; Dasharatha promised them his first child. A daughter was born to Dasharatha and Kausalya. Shanta was then adopted by childless Romapada.
Romapada related to king Vidharba, Ma Rukmini is from Vidharba, so Lord Krishna has an in-laws connection with Shanta [just an assumption]
