Life throws you
Into an adventure
Tumbling through uncertainties,
nothing like the ones told
In the stories heard at younger ages,
But instead, real issues
Chasms spread wide beneath your feet,
Then you land on the smooth stone
Of rock bottom.
The vast space is dark
Lonely
But you grab onto the jagged rocks.
Faulty, they may not hold,
But you're forced to rely on yourself
And you climb
Rock by rock
