Divorces are awful
Messy, battered, broken homes
Whether one can't decide to stay or go,
If one begs the other to stay,
Or if they both turn away
At the very same time.
For a kid, it comes as a surprise.
You never expect them to leave
As a kid,
You believe your parents are soulmates
But they just aren't.
You're never ready for what comes next.
