(Trigger Warning: Depression)
See that girl in the corner?
She looks happy, right?
She has a lot of friends,
A good life,
A family who loves her.
But if you stare into her eyes long enough
You'll see a fire
A burning rage
Something unlike any other.
If you get to know her,
You won't see a fire
You'll see a frozen lake
Trapping tons of emotions below.
You get to know her,
You'll realize
She doesn't know why,
But she is covering
Sadness
And despair.
Sometimes,
The ice breaks
And she falls into the broken lake
Where her darkest thoughts lay.
Sometimes,
Flowers bloom around the frozen lake
Full of happiness
Laughter
And joy.
But snow falls
And she thinks
Why?
Why am I like this?
Why am I not happy?
Why don't I deserve it?
Do you see that girl in the corner?
Still think she looks happy?
