"What the fuck." I mumble.

"Anyone there?" I yell walking somewhere.

"We had to suffer from your mistakes." Another voice haunts.

"Woah, hold on a minute, I've made a lot of mistakes, so which one are we talking about?" I ask looking around to find who the voice belongs to but am only met with darkness.

"This one." The voices shout distorted, appearing right in my front of face.

"Ahhh" I scream jumping back.

"No, no, NO! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" I screamed at them, defending myself from whatever they think I did.

"But you did, you killed us." She says with a single tear trailing down her face, her voice childlike with pain etched into it.

"No, no, no. I... I followed the rules you gave me." I speak slowly, trying to convince myself.

"DID YOU?" He snarled, blood dripping from his mouth.

"YES, I EVEN TRIED TO SAVE YOU! YOUR STUPID RULE GOT YOU KILLED! NOT ME!" I yelled back, my eyes growing cloudy from the clear crystals appearing.

I avoid their intense gazes.

Looking anywhere but them.

"You let us die, we should of just given you to them." The female giggles.

I take slow steps not wanting to believe anything they were saying.

While they smirk at me, they fade in front of me, showing their bodies of what they last looked like.

One had a bullet in her head.

The other with 2 bullets, one in his abdomen, the other burrowed into his head, decomposed horribly.

Still smirking, they walk closer to me, every step I take back, they match with taking one closer.

"This....this isn't real, your dead. It wasn't my fault, there was nothing I could do....so both of you GO FUCK YOURSELVES!" I yelled as tears threatened to spill.

"This isn't real, is it?" I realize seeing how both their smirks drop, they're walking coming to a halt.

"WAKE UP!" A voice echoes around the dark room.

What the hell?

I look to the couple and see them running straight toward me, screeching.

"SKYLER WAKE UP!" The voice yells, violently shaking me awake.

"AHHHAHAHHH!" I scream, sitting up, suddenly getting pulled into a chest.

My first instinct is to hit them, so I start thrashing around.

"Hey...hey it's okay, it's okay...you're okay." The voice soothes, attempting to calm me down.

"I got you.... your safe."

Finally recognizing the voice belongs to Zane, I start to calm down.

Realizing that I'm still hugging Zane, I let him go, not wanting to look him in eye.

I lay straight back down turning away from my friend.

"Thanks." I mumbled, pushing my head further into the pillow like a child.

"Skyler..." he hesitates.

"No." I am quick to cut him off, knowing where this would go.

"Sky, you haven't had a nightmare in ages..." you can already hear the concern in his voice.

"Its nothing." I lie, hoping to drop the topic.

"That....that wasn't anything. Getting woken up at 3 in the morning to hear screaming, Skyler you sounded like someone was killing you." He snapped, hurt was clearly in his voice as I wouldn't open up to him.

Instead of trying to fall asleep, I grab a pair of Jeans, a jumper, shirt and shoes, going to the bathroom to get dressed.

"Where are you going?" Zane asks while I quickly get dressed, shoving my hair in a messy bun and storming out of the bathroom, tying my laces.

"Skyler?" Zane quickly stands up from my bed stepping in my way.

"I'm just going for a drive, chill." I state, grabbing the folder and my car keys out from my bag, jogging down the stairs.

Slamming the car door shut, and speeding down the driveway, I drive to an ice cream shop.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having ice-cream early in the morning.

"Hi welcome to-"

"Yeah, could I have mint chocolate chip, cookies and cream, oreo and vanilla ice cream. Please." I say cutting the man off.

"Yeah, sure. Do you want them in separate containers?" He questions politely.

"Yes please." Driving to go pay and pick up my ice cream, I see that the man is decent looking, has short, light brown hair and quite tall but he isn't like him.

"Thank you." I thank the mam, grabbing my containers and driving to the beach.

Walking along the beach, I wait to see the orange glow of the sunrise.

"You know if I could tell my younger self something.... I would tell her to...." I speak my train of thought aloud.

Damn, is there really anything I would tell my younger self?

Wait... got it.

"I would tell her that this is a cruel world, and you have to trust yourself and-" I admit dragging the last word out.

"-and Numquam retro." Because my father would always say it.

It means 'Never back down' in Latin, he always said that, but my mom didn't agree.

She'd say 'you should back down when there are no opinions left or back down so you can make a better plan' she always found a way.

"Auntie always said I was different, I never understood it back then, but now I know. I pay attention to every little detail, I was a lot smarter when I worked with her, even smarter than Hurley.... Hurley gotta miss the old bastard." I look to the distance seeing nothing but dark clouds.

I stop walking and face the ocean just thinking of how I could of had a better life.

But I got this one, it's not the best but it's not that bad either.

"Are you okay?" A deep voice says
