Chapter Fourteen: Buona Notte

Mitch Rapp POV

"Yes Mitch?"

"We're not going to, are we? I mean just drop the mission because she said."

"No but I need you two to be careful." She says looking over to an angry looking Stan

"Hurley everything alright?" She asks causing him to stop aiming his death glares at her

"She wouldn't just kill someone for a random reason, and you know it." He snaps "so either she has a good reason to send a threat or you're making this up."

"Hurley we can speak about this outside."

Irene and Stan leave the room, leaving me to just sit there and think, what did Stan mean by 'you know it' like he thinks she's making it all up.

I take the picture out my pocket and examine it more closely.

I guess the little girl is Skyler and her mother and dad are holding her, but the only problem is that her mother has dirty blonde hair, and her dad has light brown hair.

So why has she got black raven hair? It doesn't make sense unless one other adults are not her real parent.

And I'm not stupid to believe they are.

She has similar features of her mother, like the way her eyes sparkle, my thoughts get interrupted by yelling

"Like I said I'm not taking any chances here, she's a killer."

"That's because you made her one, and don't tell me you didn't because we both know you le-"

"I didn't ask for a reminder, okay, I know what I did was wrong, and I can't do anything now except keep everyone safe from her." I hear Irene whisper a few more things before opening the door with Stan following behind

"I'll send you all the information you'll need, I want this to be done quickly as possible we don't know what she is capable of." Irene says walking out leaving a frustrated Stan

"Come on then, you heard the boss lady" Stan speaks up walking out after.

In the car driving I decided to look through the file Irene gave us

"Wait, it says she's killed over 500 men, went after a whole gang of terrorists and killed a family with no hesitation?" I say looking up to Stan, for him to confirm what I've said

"She killed over 500 men, yes. But that was a mission Irene sent her on, killed a load of terrorists before anything big could happen also yes. But killing a family doesn't seem like her." He speaks looking ahead of the clear road.

"What about blowing up a 20 foot building?"

"She was in the building when it went in flames, the girl was crazy enough to jump from the 15th floor landing in a swimming pool."

"Letting animals out of the zoo?" I question

Stans starts laughing a bit then trying to calm himself to tell the short story.
"Ahh yes, it was when she was just getting known in this world-she convinced her friend to help free the animals and ended up at an adoption shelter for animals and she took 4 dogs home"

"Do you think she still has them?"

"Yeah, she would most probably keep them in one of her houses in New York or London."

"London?" I repeat hoping I heard correctly

"She moved there when she was just a teen, that was when she met her friend."
