Unfortunately for Taehyung, that wasn't the last time he had to kiss Jeongguk.

Honestly, what did he expect? They were filming a romance movie together, a gay romance movie, so they were bound to kiss. Except, Taehyung didn't think it would be soon after they kissed off-set, and to believe that he would have some time to think over his past actions (like kissing your costar when you weren't supposed to) was foolish of him.

Taehyung kissed a lot of people in his life. Friends in drunken parties (although friendly), other women in movies he starred in, and the few girlfriends that made up his subpar dating history. Kissing didn't mean anything— it was part of the job.

It shouldn't have affected him, but the issue was that he already kissed Jeongguk, on his personal time.

And now, whenever he needed to reach for him on set, he would be distracted, his character faltering as Jeongguk's face fit perfectly in the slot of his palms, reminding him of their day by the lake. Everything, from how Jeongguk's firm grip found purchase on the side of his waist to his warm breath fanning across his cheek, sent him back.

Fuck, it was difficult. Extremely difficult when he would stare at him with that same, dazed look. He hated especially how Jeongguk chewed at his lip, putting on a false front of nervousness and batted his eyelashes, pretending to be unsure.

Taehyung's stomach coiled, knowing Jeongguk wanted to lean in, wanted to feel him, but his character held him back, kept him from doing what he wanted to do.

When they did kiss, Taehyung couldn't think. Not when Jeongguk's autumn-y scent enveloped him in a warm embrace of pumpkin and all sorts of subtle, earthy spices, or how his strong hands gripped him tightly as if this was his only chance to kiss him.

It was dizzying, electrifying, and hot. Kinda sounded like arson, but he swore it was just kissing.

But kissing shouldn't have felt like that.

You see, Taehyung made rules, boundaries for himself so things like this wouldn't happen, wouldn't blur the lines. Whenever he worked, he would strictly keep himself from messing around with his costar outside of filming.

If they needed to work on chemistry, they would stay back on set and work it out there— not spend the day together, go to his house, and kiss each other not once but multiple times.

The only one to have broken that rule was Moonhee. And yet, the whole thing with Jeongguk still felt so brand new to him.

Here he was, kissing Jeon Jeongguk again and again while his heart was a stuttering mess and his mind was a jumble of his inability to follow his established moral code.
