"I should have done this before but now, we hve to do this. We're going to set our boundaries, alright?"

Taehyung felt something nudge against his shoulder and when he turned to see what it was, he noticed Jeongguk handing him a mug while he was taking sip out of his own. He thanked him quietly, setting the steaming drink on the coffee table as Jeongguk found his spot right next to him while the dogs settled at their feet.

He came here on one of the few mornings they didn't have filming to have a proper, civil conversation with Jeongguk. He didn't intend to mess around like teenagers figuring out how to deal with their mutual attraction, even though Jeongguk already attempted to ambush him with a kiss in the kitchen, which was not funny at all (Jeongguk thought it was). And he didn't appreciate it (which was also a lie).

Eventually, Taehyung did convince Jeongguk to settle down, claiming it was an incredibly serious conversation that they needed to have. Now that Taehyung wasn't freaking out and making rash, heat of the moment decisions, he wanted to settle this like the two grown adults they were.

Jeongguk, on the otherhand, had other plans.

"What kind of boundaries are we talking about? You already know mine," Jeongguk asked, draping his arm over the back of the couch. Taehyung turned to meet his gaze, brows crumpled seeing Jeongguk was smiling innocently up at him.

"Well," Taehyung murmured, rolling his eyes as he felt Jeongguk's fingers brush across the exposed skin on the nape of his neck, trying his best not to melt into his touch. God, he was trying to make a point here, and here was Jeongguk, already making it difficult.

"Don't do that." He stammered, neck already burning up as he reached over to push him away. At that, Jeongguk let out an amused snort, the sound rumbling lowly in his throat.

"Alright. Clarify for me what you want then."

Jeongguk always spoke in a soft, lilting drawl, whether he was speaking in his native tongue or in the times he effortlessly switched over to English. It was like he didn't need to yell or seem big to appear in control. He was careful, articulate about how he talked, and it was admirable how gentle he was. It was another small thing about him that amazed Taehyung.

To think he thought he was some big and bad mafia boss.

"We can't be seen together in very public places, or well, we have to be disguised if we want to hang out," Taehyung started, trying to remember what the rules he was given the last time he started a "relationship" like this, or well, whatever they were. If anything, it would be a start, to give him a basis to figure things out and play his part well.

"The media might not follow you, but they still follow me."

"Right," Jeongguk nodded. Taehyung wasn't so sure if he was listening, but he continued anyway, his curled fingers digging into the cusp of his palm as he let out a shaky breath.
