"Jeongguk's been in a good mood lately."
"He has, hasn't he?" Taehyung turned to see Hoseok and Penn were right next to him, picking up on the manager duo's hushed conversation while he was getting his make-up adjusted for the next scene they were about to film.
He followed their gazes to where Jeongguk and Yoongi stood. It was a little funny how Jeongguk towered over him (enough where he had to slouch for him) as they seemed to be discussing Yoongi's plans for the scene. Jeongguk was in a long trench coat and pressed slacks, and while you would think it'd make him look smaller, for some reason he seemed even taller. Oh, and Taehyung wasn't going to talk about his hair.
"I don't know. He's just less tense, y'know?" Penn whispered to Hoseok, her hands animated as she struggled to fully describe what she wanted.
Eventually she gave up and settled with a proud smile. "Like, I think this movie's just impacted him as a whole."
"You said he was very lonely right? Before all of this?" Hoseok mumbled back.
Penn hummed, now crossing her arms, "He was. I'm glad he's doing better since he moved here, but like, you could tell he missed home. I guess since this film has a Korean director, he feels more comfortable. I've never really seen him connect with a movie this much."
"I guess it could also be Taehyung's impact on him." Hoseok chuckled. At that, Taehyung struggled to hide the smile twitching over his lips behind his fist. He kept his attention trained forward, apologizing quietly to the make-up artist applying foundation to his cheeks.
"Could be. He smiles a lot around the guy. It's nice 'coz he has a really pretty one. He's always been a big charmer, you know. People just like to make problems out of nothing, when there wasn't a problem to begin with," Penn pointed out.
"I noticed he's been bringing a camera around set more too," Hoseok added. Penn practically lit up like a ginger sun at that.
"You saw that too!" She whisper-squealed, elbowing Hoseok playfully at the side. "I haven't seen him pick up a camera in a bit. Lemme tell you, he's a fucking mastermind with a camera."
"Well I'm glad he's having a good time here then," Hoseok said. "Hopefully he shows us those pictures too at one point."
Penn nodded, smiling a smile so wide and full with admiration it filled Taehyung with a particular warmth. "Me too, Jung. Me too."
"Hey, Taehyung!"
Yoongi called out to him, snapping him out of it. Taehyung blinked a few times, trying to keep his lips pressed into a firm, neutral line as he pretended to not overhear their entire conversation that left his stomach all warm and fluttery once more. Jeongguk was a charmer. That he could attest for.
When he passed the managers, he gave them a small wave. Penn raised an eyebrow at him, but before he could see the rest of her reaction, his eyes were already searching for Jeongguk. It wasn't hard, for he was already staring at him, and when he finally joined his side, he spared him a small smile, one that almost reached his eyes but it was always enough to make Taehyung flustered anyway.
