Riding a motorcycle in Seattle with Jeon Jeongguk was something Taehyung never ever expected to happen.Right now, his arms were wrapped around his waist, clinging to him tight as the duo effortlessly breezed their way to the city. Taehyung's cheek was pressed again Jeongguk's back, but his eyes pleasantly took in the sights blurring around them.
Green trees towered above. The cool, crisp breeze nipped at his cheeks, tinting his face red. Adrenaline rushed through his veins, making his heart roar and elevated him up and up until he swore he was flying. Mt. Rainier (Jeongguk told him the name) peeked in the distance in all its glory, stark among the bright, blue skies.
It was one of the rare days, he presumed, that taking a motorcycle to the heart of Seattle wasn't too bad. Next to Jeongguk, the cold gust whipping through their hair wasn't so bad.
With their bodies pressed together, it was enough heat. But when a colder billow of air breezed by, he subconciously buried his face into the warmth Jeongguk radiated.
Taehyung had no words; they were stuck in the hollow of his throat. Luckily, neither did Jeongguk.
And when they did come to a stop in the heart of the city, Taehyung was completely in awe by his surroundings. Sure, he lived in Seoul, but nothing could beat the beauty that was Seattle.
"Need help?"
He didn't realize he was struggling to take off his helmet until a pair of familiar hands settled over his and helped him out of it. Taehyung's breath hitched when he realized Jeongguk was standing close to him again.
He was staring at him but this time he he didn't look bored. Instead, he wore a small smile, the smooth skin around his eyes creased.
A rare smile he didn't think Jeongguk was capable of.
"I didn't need your help," Taehyung muttered shyly, willing himself to hold together. He couldn't let his guard down so easily. They were working right now, after all.
"Y-You look dumb," He stuttered, gesturing at Jeongguk's hair to change the topic.
"Thanks," Jeongguk chuckled, combing fingers through his hair. "You mean it?"
"Yeah."
"Oh, okay."
Taehyung pursed his lips, growing confused as Jeongguk peered over his shoulder and waved at a person approaching them. He couldn't hear their conversation, but the rush of adrenaline pumping through him came to an abrupt halt.
He noticed Jeongguk tossing the stranger the keys to his motorcycle. They exchanged a few more words until the stranger left.
For some reason, this was the first time Taehyung witnessed Jeongguk speak to someone who wasn't within their inner circle of people.
