School Day

Our morning classes were all finished and it's already lunch time. Laura is absent today because she's sick so I have to go to the canteen alone. "Lorraine!" A guy called me. "Who's that?" I asked myself. "Lorraine, I'm at your back." The guy called me again. I looked at my back. "Oh, ikaw pala. Ano 'yun, Marco?" I asked him. "Uhm..." He started talking. "Sasamahan nalang kita sa canteen kasi wala si Laura, diba?" Samahan? Well, I think it's fine. "Bumabait ka na 'ata. Uhm... Ako lang naman mag-isa so okay lang. Let's go?" I said. "Mabait naman talaga ako noh!" We both laughed.

As we were walking, I saw Jandrè. He was smiling. I saw them smiling. Yes, you're right. Jandrè and Marco were smiling. I don't know what happened to them.

When we arrived in the canteen, I called Laura. "Hello?" She started talking. "Hello, bes! Alam mo ba kung sino ang kasama ko ngayon?" I told her with my low voice so that Marco can't hear. "Siyempre hindi. Bakit?" She asked. "Si Marco." I said. "Huh?" Marco asked me. "Uhm... Wala." I denied. "Okay." Sabi ni Marco. "Kasama mo talaga siya?" Laura asked me. "Oo nga. Sabi niya kasi na absent ka raw kaya niya ako sinamahan." I told her. "Naku, palusot lang 'yan! Feeling ko talaga na may gusto siya sa'yo." She told me. "Huh? Really? Okay, bye na." I ended the call.

After calling her, I started ordering my food. "Vegetables? Vegetarian ka na?" He laughed. "What's wrong with being a vegetarian? Masama ba?" I didn't look at him. "110 pesos po lahat." I paid the cashier for my food.

After paying the cashier, we went to a place where it was vacant. "So how was your party?" He asked. "Kain ka nga muna." I told him before I placed the food in my mouth. Ang sarap talaga ng vegetables! Yum! Yum! "So anong nangyari sa party mo?" He asked again. "Uhm..." I started. "May mga pumunta na visitors. Tsaka, pumunta din 'yung mga friends ko. Bakit mo naman natanong 'yon, Marco?" I answered his question since he acted annoying. "Wala naman, madam!" He laughed. "Kainis ka naman eh." I sighed. "Kain na nga lang tayo, Marcskii!" I laughed. "Payag ako sa tinawag mo sa akin. Marcskii na ang tawag mo sa akin since now, ha?" He requested. I nodded. May pa request request pa 'tong mokong na 'to ah.

While we were eating, I saw Jandrè eating at the other table. Our tables were kind of close. "Did you see Jandrè?" I asked him if he saw Jandrè. He nodded in response. After that, I continued eating until I finished. "Ang dali mo namang natapos." He told me before he drank his iced tea. "Siyempre naman. Gulay lang kaya 'to." I stood up. "You're leaving me here?" He grabbed my hand when I got my bag. "Yeah, why? Tapos na kaya ako kumain." I let go of him. "Grabe ka naman! Sinamahan na nga kita sa lunch mo. Iiwanan mo pa ako?" He he got mad. "Sorry na nga po! Sige na nga. Dito nalang muna ako." I sat again and got my book. "I'll do nalang muna my assignment while waiting."

After doing my assignment, he stood up. "Tapos na ako. Let's go?" He asked me. "Finally!" I got my bag and stood up.

While we were walking, He was asking some things. "So... Ilang years na kayo friends ni Laura?" He asked me this question first. "Siguro mga ten." I started counting. "We were friends since grade one kasi." Naalala ko tuloy 'yung jeje days namin. Haha! "Only child ka alng ba?" He asked me another question. "Yes. Ikaw?" We were kind of getting to know each other. "I have a brother. He's still seven though." He replied. "Do you have your own credit card or atm?" He asked me another one. "Ang dami mo namang tanong eh. Let's just go inside the classroom since nandito na tayo." I went straight to my seat. Ang dami niya ring mga tanong eh.

After all of our classes, it finally ended. It was dismissal time and I went home early.
