Lorraine's Birthday

It is still afternoon while my party will start later at 6 p.m. I don't really know who my guests are, but only Laura, my best friend. Our helpers are still preparing the things for my party while Laura and I are just making our assignments in my room.

Our assignments are easy so finished it early.

After doing our assignments, we went to the theater then watch some movies. Wait...... Someone's knocking the door. "Who's that?" I asked. Probably it's our maid since it's almost time for me to take shower for the party. "Si Tonet po ito, Ma'am!" The girl outside said. "Okay, go in." She told me to take a shower because it's almost 5 p.m. then I still have to prepare my outfit so I took a bath.

"Lorraine! Are you done there?" Laura shouted. "Yes." I went out then I saw her watching the TV. "It's already 5:30. Ano ba susuotin mo? This or this?" She showed me dresses she picked. "This one! I like the blue one." I chose. After I changed my clothes, she fixed my hair. She used the blower though. She's really good at it. "Okay na ba 'to?" She combed my hair. "Yes, thanks!" It's really nice. Oh, she's still wearing uniform so I better lend her some dress. "What dress do you want to wear?" I was looking for a dress I could let her borrow. "That one nalang para pareho tayong naka-blue!" She pointed at the dress I was holding. "Sure! Anything for my best friend."

"Mga, girls, bumaba na kayo if you're done." Mom told us. I have to wear shoes now- we have to wear shoes, I mean. "Anong shoes ang gusto mong suotin?" I started looking for shoes. I saw a beige colored shoes. It's nice actually. Ako kaya ang may-ari. Yes, I'm into shoes. "I like the blue one. 'Yung open." She requested. "Sige, sa akin naman ang close shoes na blue. Haha! Para parehos tayo." I wore the shoes. "Wear the shoes na para bababa na tayo." I gave her the shoes. "Okay, birthday girl! Oo nga pala, happy birthday again beshie!" She greeted me again.

We went down but we went to the kitchen. Guess who we saw- yes, it's Jandrè. Invited pala siya. Oh well, business partners sila ng parents ko. "Hello, Jan!" Laura called him. I saw him getting some juice. "Oh, hello!" He looked back. "Happy birthday again." He greeted me again. Yes, again! Kind though. "What time will it start, ate?" I asked our maid. It's 6 na kasi eh. "Ngayon na po." Sabi ng chief maid namin. Haha! Oo, chief siya as in leader ng mga maid dito. "Okay po."

We went to the pool side with Jandrè. "Dito pala i-held ang party mo?" He asked. "Probably." Some kids were swimming at the pool. Finally the party started. "May I call on the birthday girl?" The MC asked so I went in front. "Let's sing a happy birthday to this 19 year old girl." The MC requested. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, happy birthday. Happy birthday to you!" The crowd sang. "Thank you po!" I thanked the people for coming before I made a wish then I blew the cake.

We started getting food then stayed at the table with my parents, Laura, her parents, Jandrè and his parents. There were some celebrities who came, too. My parents actually have some celebrity friends. Some people were asking for a 'selfie' with them so we took some. Hahaha! My fans? Hmmm..... Maybe.

We went upstairs in the theater to watch some movies with the teen celebrities, some visitors, Laura and Jandrè. We really enjoyed the comedy movie we watched. We really laughed so hard. "It's already 10, Lorraine. I have to go." Laura asked my permission so I have to bring her downstairs because her parents are waiting for her. "Okay, I'll go with you." We went down. Himala! Jandrè didn't go with us.

"Anak, let's go na. Happy birthday, Lorraine!" Her parents greeted me. "Thank you po, tita and tito. Ingat po sa inyo." I went back upstairs to finish the movie. Then after how many minutes, we finished the movie. I saw Jandrè in the corner. He was so silent. He was using his phone though.

Someone was calling me so I went out. Oops, it's mom! "Hello, mommy?" I started talking. "Lorraine, bumaba ka muna." She ended the call. Okay, I have to go down for now.

I started looking for mom when I arrived downstairs. I was looking for her in the pool side. "Mom!" I called her. "Did you see Jack and James?" My mom was asking. James and Jack are actually my friends since we were young. "Opo, nasa taas po sila. Do you want me to call them po?" I asked since she was looking for them. "Yes, please." I started going up after she said that.

I went in the theater room to look for them. "James." I tapped his head. "Yes? Ano 'yun?" He asked. "Mom said na uuwi na daw kayo." I told them. Then after that, the two boys went outside with me. "Bakit? Ano 'yun birthday girl?" Jack asked. "Uuwi na nga daw kayo, eh." I said to them while showing them my "pa-cute" eyes. I'm gonna miss them na kasi ito 'yung first time na nagkita kami this year. The past five years they've been staying in Australia. They're from Australia kasi eh. Tapos, uuwi na naman sila later. Tsaka, after five years na naman kami magkikita. How sad. I'm gonna miss them talaga. "Huh? Uuwi na? Mamimiss ka namin." They started hugging me. I knew it! They're gonna miss me also. "Okay na. Okay na. Let's go down na nga lang. Pa-emote emote pa tayo dito eh." I told them while I'm stopping my tears to fall.

We started going down. Pero something weird happened. "Bro!" James called Jandrè. Weird diba? How did they know each other? "Yow, wassup! Long time no see, ha." Jandrè started talking. After that, they did their handshake. They started talking to each other. "Jack, OP ka?" I asked Jack since he looked so out of place. "I know right. Kuya really knows a lot of people here in the Philippines. He's friendly, right?" Nag-eEnglish na naman siya with his Australian accent. Gosh! Nakaka-nosebleed na siya, ha. "Okay, I'll call mom for a while. Okay?" I asked his permission. "Okay." I left them.

"Mom!" I called mom while she's waiting. "Nasan na sila?" She asked me. "Nasa living room po sila with the son of the Santiagos." I answered. "Okay then, let's go?" James and Jack's mom asked. Then we started walking going to the living room.

"Jack and James!" Their dad called them. "Yes, dad?" James ended his conversation with Jandrè while Jack was going towards us. "Let's go na." Their mom said so we went out. While we were in the parking lot of our house, my feelings were kind of emotional. Charot! Oo, totoo nga. "Bye, birthday girl. We're gonna miss you. Okay?" James said. He's really sweet while Jack is kind of like quiet sometimes. I was stopping my tears to fall pero nahulog talaga sila nang niyakap na nila ako ng mahigpit. Halos hindi na nga ako makahinga sa yakap nila eh. "Hindi ako makahinga!" I shouted. "You, guys, are so emotional. Lorraine, babalik naman sila dito after five years. Then they're gonna live here naman after five years." Mom started being so K.J. Yes, she's like that sometimes. "Mom, K.J. niyo po." We started laughing. "Group hug na nga lang." Their mom requested. After that, we started saying our goodbyes together. "Bye, Lorraine! Happy birthday again." Their parents said. "Bye, we love you and will miss you, guys!" James and Jack told us sweetly. Ugh! Ang sweet kaya. "Bye! Thank you po sa pagdating." I started kissing their cheeks since that's what we do. "Picture muna kayo." Their mom requested again. "Okay, use mine po." I gave my phone and Fujifilm camera. "Ready? 1, 2 and 3. Smile!" Dad pictured us while smiling. Naki-smile siya, ha. "Thank you, dad." I said. "Lorraine, let's take a selfie naman." James said. "Okay, sa phone ko naman later." I said so we were taking selfies. Tapos, post agad sa Instagram. "Sige, bye na." We said. We started hugging again. After that, they went and I went up narin.

When it was 12 midnight, the party ended. Actually, I didn't see Jandrè anymore. Pumasok narin ako sa kwarto ko. Umiyak din ako dahil mamimiss ko sila. *cry-cry* Kainis! Bakit after five years pa?
