The weather later that day was far too bad than what the weather report said in the morning news. Your plans to go ice skiing with your best friends, Kaneki; who is your crush, and Hide, weren't going as smooth as expected. A snow storm was occurring and the two guys haven't received any texts or calls from you since you were separated from them earlier.

*Aah... Now I have to stay under this huge freaking log until it's all over... Why do we have to be separated anyways...*

You hugged your knees and sulked. You felt yourself draining out of energy and sighed. The snow was getting heavier and your head were full of negative thoughts.

"Wha... what if nobody's coming to save me? What happened to Kaneki and Hide? I wanted to call them but my stupid phone is broken... what should I do?"

You continued murmuring some negative thoughts in fear with tears flooding your eyes until you heard a familiar voice calling out your name.

"I-is that really Kaneki...? Dear god, please tell me I'm not imagining things..."

The voice was getting louder and you gathered all of your energy to peek outside. You squints your eyes and wiped the fog and snow from your goggles (?). The storm was gentler than before so you could adjust your vision. You saw a figure of a man, walking up to where you were. The figure was getting closer and you got a better view of his face.

"(Y/N)!!"

"Ka... Kaneki..!!"

His knees dropped to the ground as he let out a huge sigh of relief and your arms automatically wrapped around him. He hugged you closer and both of you pulled away. Snow were piling on top of his head and you brushed it off.

"L-let's wait in h-here... while w-waiting f-for the storm to pass by..."

Your teeth chattered and Kaneki nodded. He took off his coat and draped them over your shoulder. You didn't notice how cold you were until he held your hands.

"... You're freezing cold"

"I-I am?"

"Yes, silly. You're out in a snow storm. You didn't notice how cold you are, didn't you?"

He looked a bit mad and you nodded apologetically. He sighed and pulled you closer to him. You let out a gasp as you felt his temperature.

"Kaneki! You're freezing cold as well! Why did you give this to me? Here. Take it"

You gave him back his coat and forced him to wear it.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine now..."

Your words trailed off as a thought came into your head.

Should I confess now? Since Hide's not here... yes I should.

"Hey, Kaneki..." you said and looked at him.

"Yes?"

He gave you a smile and your heart fluttered.

"Y-you see... I-I just wanted to tell you how much I like you...! I-I don't know this feelings I'm feeling right now... maybe it's l-love...? I d-don't know... I... Please accept my feelings...!"

You let out a frustrated sigh and waited for his respond. You glanced at him and saw that he looked quite shocked at your sudden confession and he was blushing. You prepared yourself for rejection when suddenly Kaneki cleared his throat which made you look at him. He had a mischievous smile plastered on his lips.

"Wh-what?"

You felt uncomfortable and advert your gaze away from his. He held your shoulders and you let out a small gasp.

"What are you do--"

He cut you off. His lips met yours and your eyes widened. Your face heated up as it finally registered in your brain.

He's kissing me...

You close your eyes slowly and kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck. The kiss was gentle and you felt his arms wrap around your waist. You weakened in his touch as both of you pulled away, red faced and breathing heavily.

"... Is that a yes?" you asked and blushed.

"Hmm... What do you think?"

He smirked and your eyes widened. He was totally out of character. You never knew the gentle and kind Kaneki has this teasing side of him.

"S-stop it!"

"Stop what?"

"Stop breathing already" you pouted and crossed your arms over your chest.

"You won't be able to see me again, then"

"You..! Ugh! I hate you so much"

"I know you love me"

You smacked his chest in embarrassment and he let out a chuckle.

"Heyy~ Stop flirting, you love birds. The snow storm already stopped a while ago and both of you are still here? What exactly are you guys doing that you both didn't realize anything?"

Hide popped his head in the woods, smirking, where both of you were in and you both blushed at his statement.

"Sh-shut up, Hide..." Kaneki turned away in embarrassment.

"Oh? Normal Kaneki is back" you mumbled and smiled in amusement.

"Let's go already" you crawled out from under the logs and stood up, dusting off some dirt from your pants.

You let the two guys walk first. In the middle of the way, your face heated up in embarrassment and realization. You squealed for a few seconds and cleared your throat. The guys were looking at you weirdly and you just smiled shyly.

"Seriously, Kaneki. What did you do to make the boyish (y/n) to be like this, Kaneki?" Hide asked Kaneki and he just shrugged, smiling.

You giggled and Hide looked back and forth at you and Kaneki. He just sighed and smiled.

"It's fine then, since it took you both long enough to be together" he mumbled and smiled in amusement.

You were skipping happily in between the two guys and you smiled at your thought.

I took his first kiss! And he took mine! I'm blessed~
