You stood in front of Kaneki's apartment door, holding a container containing his favorite food; hamburger. You heard that he was sick so you decided to pay him a visit and gave him the notes that he missed in class.

You pushed the door bell button and you could hear muffled footsteps approaching from the inside. You straightened your posture as the door opened. Your heart skipped a beat as you saw the figure in front of you.

His usually straight black hair was messy and he looked really tired. You put on a smile as he sees you. He looked shocked but quickly regained his composure by clearing his throat.

"(Name)-chan, what are you doing here?"

"I came to visit you. You've missed so many lessons and I heard that you got a fever. So I brought you notes in place of Hide. He was busy today so, yeah..."

"Oh... I see... come in" he smiled and opened the door wider for you to enter.

You bowed slightly as you took off your sandals. Kaneki closed the door and led you the way. You followed him to the kitchen and placed the container on the table.

"Um, Kaneki-kun. I made this for you, uh, your favorite food, hamburger..." you nervously glanced at him and he froze.

He turned pale and you blinked in confusion.

"Kaneki-kun..? You don't look so good... are you okay? I can throw this away if you don't want it..."

"No I'm fine. Since y-you made it for me... o-of course I'll eat it..." he blushed and he scratched his cheek in embarrassment.

You blushed lightly at his statement and smiled.

"O-okay then... um, I'll prepare it for you"

He smiled nervously and sat on the dining table. He watched your every movement as you took a plate and opened the lid of the container. His eyes widened as he saw the sight in front of him. He took a deep breath and almost threw up at the smell.

You scooped the hamburger and placed it on a plate, pouring the sauce after. You pushed the plate in front of Kaneki and he gulped. You handed him the fork and knife and watched as he took it from you. He began cutting and ate the first slice. You shut your eyes anxiously and prayed.

*Please like it... Please like it... Please like it...*

You heard clatters and gagging noise and your eyes shot open. You saw Kaneki rushed to the toilet, covering his mouth. Your heart dropped and tears welled up in your eyes. You took a deep breath before rushing to him.

"K-Kaneki-kun, are you okay..? I-I'm sorry for making you eat those--" you let out a gasp as you saw the sight in front of you.

Kaneki was trying hard to not to throw up. His eyes squeezed in pain and he was clutching the door handle.

*Is it really that bad?*

"Kaneki-kun--"

"Stop. Don't come closer, (name)... I don't want to hurt you..."

He opened his eyes, tears streaming down his cheeks and a small scream escaped from your mouth.

"A g-ghoul..?!"

*No wonder he can't eat it! I'm so stupid...*

"I-I'm sorry, (name)-chan... I'm sure you're afraid of me now... I'm prepared if you want to leave me but please, before you leave... don't tell anyone... I'm scared..."

He was on his knees, covering his face and you slowly walked up to him.

"Bakaneki..."

You whispered as you hugged him. Kaneki was taken aback by your action and his eyes widened in surprise.

"I won't leave you, idiot. What makes you think that?" your arms wrapped tighter around him as you buried your face on the crook of his neck.

"Isn't that obvious, (name)? I'm a ghoul..." he mumbled against your shoulder.

You could still feel his warm tears dripping onto your shirt. He slowly hugged you back and your heart raced. Both of you stayed in that position for a few minutes until Kaneki calmed down.

"You should rest, Kaneki-kun" you said and he just nodded.

You followed him to his room, just to make sure he's alright. He lay down on his bed and you sat on the edge of his bed. He turned to look at you and gave you a weak, yet warm smile.

"Thank you, (name)-chan... I... love you..." you heard him whisper before he fell asleep.

Your face heated up in embarrassment but happy at the same time at his confession.

"You're welcome... and I love you too. I'll be back tomorrow..."
