16- Fallen [Part 2]

A/n: an early update for my lovely readers. Enjoy! (~˘▾˘)~

You dragged yourself to the empty swing and sat on it, thinking on what you should do after that. Your eyes were swollen, your throat hurting and the lump was still there. You sat on the swing for a while and decided to stay there for a few more hours. You don't want to see him. There were a high chance that you will run onto him since the park was located nearby the apartment where you and Kaneki lived.

You moved to the bench where your back was facing the fence when white flakes floated down slowly to the ground and melted. You looked up at the sky and smiled painfully.

"Maybe he's not the one..." You whispered, voice cracking.

Flashbacks from what you saw came flooding back and you closed your eyes tightly, clenching your fist in anger, disappointment and hurt. You were clenching your fist really hard that you didn't even notice that it started to bleed. You felt the sting on your palm and unclenched it. You stared at it for a while and the sound of snow crunching from behind you made you snap from your daze.

"... (Name)...?"

You froze.

That voice. 

It was Kaneki's voice.

"What are you doing here, (Name)? It's late and it's freezing cold... Let's go home" he said as he made his way to you. [a/n: don't kill me ;-;]

He grabbed your wrist gently and a small gasp left his mouth as he saw your bleeding palm.

"What did you do, (Name)?" He asked and you hastily pulled your wrist back from his grip.

"... It's none of your problem"

"Yes it is! You're my girlfriend!"

"No it's not! You obviously didn't even care about me anymore! You didn't even answer my call, replying my text, you pushed me away when I want to kiss you, hug you... You don't have to force yourself to act like you care..." You teared up and walked past him, wiping away your tears.

"What..." He trailed off and grabbed your wrist.

"Please let go of me, Kaneki."

"Why are you doing this?" He asked.

"Why are you acting innocent?" You whispered.

"What..?"

"You fucking cheated on me!" You snapped.

You turned to him and saw his shocked expression. Tears of anger and sadness trailed down your cheeks as you glared at him.

"I..I..."

"Don't say anything" you spat.

He pulled you to him, practically hugging you. You heartbeat sped up and your eyebrows furrowed. You tried pushing him away and trashed in his arm.

"Let go of me! Kaneki! Please! Don't do this!" You pleaded and he hugged you tighter.

"Please..." You mumbled, more tears spilled down your eyes.

"I... Am really sorry... I-I thought for sure that you didn't love me anymore..." He whispered and let go of you.

"Are you blind? I was worried sick and you're the one who was being a jerk!" You snapped and punched his chest.

"I know. I clearly know that. But please, (Name)... Please, give me another chance to make it up to you..." He was holding your hand, looking at you with so much regret and guilt.

Your knees gave away and Kaneki supported you. Your arms shakily made its way to encircle itself around Kaneki's waist and you cried.

*Dear God, I have sinned*

"I'm sorry, (Name)... I really am..."

"I'm not forgiving you."

*Liar*

You felt him tense up and you let go of him.

"Just... Give me some time to think about it..." You muttered and walked away, leaving Kaneki who was crouching, running his fingers through his white hair.

A few days have passed since the last time you saw him. You have been living with your friend and she was the one who comforted you. You still love him even after what he had done to you. You still craved for his tender embrace, his warm and loving touch.

"You should follow what you think is the right thing for you. In a relationship, of course there will be difficulties and all you have to do is be strong and try to sort it out together with your partner." Your friend said as she sat next to you.

You looked at her and she continued,

"If you think being with him again is the right choice, then give it a shot. Who knows it might lead to a more deeper and meaningful relationship. If it doesn't seem to be going well, then it might be best for you to leave him... Oh man, for someone who doesn't have any experience, I sure like blurting out things..." She pouted.

"Maybe you're right... Besides, your advices are worth it. And I'm sure you'll find the right guy soon. You're the type who are careful and sharp in things like this after all. Um, about Kaneki... I don't want him to keep on waiting and I've been thinking about it for a while now..."

"Aw thank you, (Name)! I'll be praying for your happiness"

"Thank you"

-mega time skip to 4 years later-

You were chopping some vegetables when your 2 year-old daughter ran to you, giggling. You blinked and put away the vegetables.

"Mama!"

"What is it, (D/N)?" You washed your hands.

"Papa's back!" Your daughter cling onto your leg and you smiled, picking her up.

"I'm back, (Name)!" Your husband called out and you made your way out of the kitchen to greet him.

You let your daughter run up to her father and he picked her up.

"You're getting heavy, (D/N)! Your mother's cooking is the best, huh?" He laughed and kissed her chubby and chocolate-smudged cheeks.

"Welcome back, Kaneki-kun" You smiled and gave him a peck on his lips.

"I wanna kiss papa too!"

A/n: and that's a wrap for Fallen. It doesn't make any sense but hey, at least it has a happy ending! XD [the ending makes me happy to be honest (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤] But seriously though, I really suck at this ;-; I should be improving but um ;-;
