You flipped the pages on the novel that you're reading as you listened to music. You were about to reach the end of the chapter when someone tapped your shoulder. You took off your headset and turned to the person who tapped your shoulder.

"Touka? What's up?" You asked as you placed a bookmark on the page.

"Do you wanna try out the pastries at the new bakery nearby later?" She asked.

"Sure! I'd love to" you grinned.

"Great! Let's go together!" Yoriko clasped her hands together with a pleasant smile on her face.

"Alright~"

The lunch bell rang, signaling the students that lunch time was over so the three of you went back to your class. On your way, we bumped onto 2 upper class senior whom you're familiar with; Nagachika Hideyoshi and Kaneki Ken, your crush. Your cheeks heated up as your eyes met with the white haired male.

His unique snow white hair attracted your attention and you always saw him at the library, reading novels with the same author; Takatsuki Sen. Since the first time you saw him, your eyes would automatically look for his easy-to-spot hair.

But unfortunately, he didn't feel the same way. He would always look at the dark blue haired girl who was always beside you while you look at him. He would smile at you gently but the way he smile at her would be in a different way, the way you would look at the person you love.

You didn't always show much emotion but when it hurts too much for you, you might skip class or even the whole day of school just to think about it. Overthinking. It sometimes stressed you out but you tried to take in every thing slowly.

But you didn't even shed a tear.

Your brain refused to cooperate leading you to not being able concentrate in class. You stared at the window and remembered your encounter with Kaneki earlier.

He smiled at you and you smiled back a little and also a wave at Hide. The loud guy almost jumped at you, shouting "(Name)-chan~! You're so cool~!" and "Touka-chan and Yoriko-chan~ both of you looks cute as always~" when Kaneki pulled his collar and the three of you giggled as the other guy struggled to be released. "Sorry about that (Name)-chan, Touka-chan, Yoriko-chan. I'll see you all around. Come on Hide! We're late!"

Although he said that while looking at you, you would notice that he's always looking at Touka. You would smile and shrugged it off, saying "It's okay, Kaneki senpai. Hide senpai is funny." You snapped out of your daze when the bell rung and people packing their things.

"Let's go (Name)!" Yoriko smiled.

"Just a second" you said and shoved your items in your bag, zipping it.

"Alright. We're all done. Let's go" Touka smiled and the three of you went to the bakery.

You bought a few slices of cakes and some tarts for your family. But somehow you felt really uncomfortable. *Maybe I should confess...*. You've liked him for more than 1 year and you tried to move on countless times. To your despair, it failed.

The cakes and tarts you ate tasted bitter as you thought more about it. You made up your mind and decided to confess on the next day. You decided to keep your thoughts straight and you tried going to sleep in which you failed miserably. Eventually you fell asleep by the time the clock struck 3.00 a.m.

The next day, the school was lively, more lively than usual that you have to increase the volume of the song you are listening. "Hey, hey, (Name)-chan! Have you heard? Touka-chan and Kaneki is together now! Kaneki asked her out last night! Man~ he was so cool. He even had a girlfriend before me!" Hide said as he appeared beside you.

Your eyes widened and you looked at him, trying to keep your calm. You felt so broken and lost. You averted your gaze and excused yourself to the nurse's office.

After giving a plausible excuse, you sat on the mattress with closed curtain, thinking. When you thought you were feeling a little bit better, you left the room during lunch and made your way to the rooftop. You need more time to think. Thinking, thinking, thinking. That was what you needed. The breeze hit you as you opened the door, caressing your (h/c) hair.

You went to your usual spot and lay down when the door opened, revealing the newly born couple. Your heart leaped as you saw them looking around. Your usual spot was a blind spot for them but you can still see them clearly. You watched the two as they talked when Kaneki did something that made your heart shatter.

He kissed Touka.

You closed your eyes and clutched onto your chest, leaning your back against the cold wall. And by the time you opened your eyes, the tears you've been holding back until now were spilled like heavy rain which doesn't seem to be able to stop for a while.

A/n: And that's a wrap lol how was it? x) that was so cliche and kinda predictable LOLOL this one sucks so much because it's been a long time since I write something *sighs* so anyways,
