Sehun and I were walking around town, hand in hand. I missed him so much, and simply being by him made me happy.
He wasn't gone for that long, really. Plus, we talked every day. But that didn't affect how much I wanted him to return. And I wanted it badly.
But I think it was time that I finally confess to him.I'm going to inform him of what has been going on. And by that, I mean with Kai.
"So, how have you been?" He asked, sitting across from me. We were at a cafe, drinking boba tea.
His tongue swipes over his thick lips while watching me intently."Kind of busy, I guess." Sehun sips his drink. "How was your family?"
"They were great," he says, the smile apparent in his voice. I find it adorable that when Sehun is smiling, you can hear it in his tone.
"That's good." I answer, smiling as well.
"So," he clears his throat. "What's going on with you and Kai?" I set my drink on the table, trying not to choke.
"Wha-what do y-you mean?" I stutter.
"Come on, Ari. I know that there's something between you two." Sehun runs a hand through his hair.
"Well..." I trail off. He stares deeply into my eyes, waiting eagerly for an explanation. "He 'claimed' me, whatever that means." I try to say dismissively.
"I hope that you are joking." he answers, shaking his head slightly. A look of disappointment flashed through his brown orbs, but I get the feeling that it was directed at Kai.
"I'm not."
"Well, has he forced you to do anything?" He was trying to hide the concern in his voice, but I heard it.
"Just be his girlfriend." I answer, pondering the situation.
"Do you know how wrong that is?" Sehun asks rhetorically.
"I know, but I feel bad for him."
"Why? Kai gets anything that he wishes for."
"People assume that he is a terrible person," I explain. "I did too, but now I've gotten to know him."
"He's tricking you." Sehun answers angrily. "Ari, I can't stand to see you get hurt."
"It would be more painful to ignore him," I admit. My eyes widen suddenly, realizing what I had just said.
"And why is that?" He pushes.
"He's annoying." I say, clearing my throat.
"But if you're dating him," he starts. "Where is he now?"
"Oh no!" I exclaim, pulling out my phone to check the time. "Kai is in the hospital."
"He is?" Sehun questions, surprised.
"Yeah, he wanted me to come back." A frown finds it's way to his face.
"Alright, I guess I will have to take you back then." He answers, standing up. Sehun walks over and helps me up as well.
"Thank you, Sehunnie." I answer cutely. His face brightens immediately, the blush creeping to his cheeks.
"No need to thank." He assures, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. And now, it was my turn to blush.
"Don't worry, though. We will see each other during the entire break." I wink, rubbing his arm.
"I'm excited." He answers, observing my hand that was on his arm. I remove it quickly and advert my gaze to the ground. "Let's get you to that hospital."
