Butterflies grew in my stomach the longer I waited for Kai to answer the door.
The silence was terrifying, and I started to wonder if he would even come down. I know he's home. But I don't like the feeling that he would ignore me.
I realize that I made a mistake, but I don't like being unfamiliar with Kai's next actions. I feel like he is even more unpredictable than before.
Maybe he noticed that he doesn't like me anymore. That it was just a phase.
Or, maybe he found a better girl.
A sharp pain shoots through my chest as soon as that thought crosses my mind.
You're being irrational, I remind myself.
But I hope that it's true, and I'm just over analyzing things as always. I have a tendency to do so.After the eerily quiet time that I waited on his doorstep alone, I finally heard some more rustling in the home.
I hope that he actually comes to the door now...
perhaps I should try knocking again.I raise my hand to the wood once more, knocking loudly. Letting a sigh get passed my lips, it start fidgeting.
And after what felt like forever, all of my worried diminished. The door swung open in a swift manner, allowing me to be greeted by my handsome boy.
I let out a shaky breath-- it seems I had forgotten how good looking he is.
His eyes widened the minute he saw me standing there. I then scanned his appearance.
Kai was dressed nicely, but his hair was a mess and his features were sleep-filled.
"Ar-Ari," he stammers out, eyes flickering on me.
"Yeah," I breathe out. It was kind of odd to see him so caught off guard.
I mean, I know I showed up unexpectedly. But Kai is a spontaneous person, should he be this shocked by my actions?
"What are you doing out here by yourself?" He asks, awe struck.
"Someone wouldn't answer the door." I retort, plainly referring to him.
"I'm so sorry," he rushes out. Kai went to grab my wrist, but he immediately stopped and checked behind him.
My eyes narrow.
"Who is with you?" I question suspiciously."No one," he blurts.
"Hmm," I hum. "There's no girl in there, right?"
Kai's brown orbs peer into me, scanning for information. Involuntarily, my bottom lip jutted out into a pout. His eyes trailed down, and he frowned.
"Ask me again in a second." He explains, followed by a smug smile.
"What are you-" I begin to ask, but I was tugged into his home.
"Kai..." I trail off."There's a girl in here now." He cheeses, the smirk was obvious in his tone.
"Kai, you are so ridiculous." I say, but there was a massive grin on my lips.
"You love it." He mumbles, while burying his face in my shoulder.
"Kai," I speak again. "What are we going to do?"
His head quickly pulls away from me, looking to my face. "What do you mean?"
"We can't make up our minds," I explained. "One minute we are angry, and the next minute...well, we act like this."
