Sitting with the Winstons after an argument was like sitting with a time bomb. There was a small chance the argument was over and completely forgotten, but then there was a possibility that it wasn't.
Hannah: Are you mad at me?
Dallas, being a sarcastic asshole: Mhm.
Cue Hannah getting really quiet, and Dallas almost burning his finger on his cigarette when he realizes she was serious.
Dallas: Shit kid, I didn't mean it.
Hannah: Oh.
Things went quiet as Dallas sits there, thinking everything over.
Don't be a fucking Charlie, you dumbass.
Dallas, getting up from his chair and dragging Hannah up with him: We're going to the Dingo, I owe someone a milkshake.
*A day passes, and Dallas still feels like a dick.*
