Author's Note

Sorry I've been gone for so long, school wore me out quite a bit

Orange locks flowed in the warm breeze, his dull ocean eyes looked onto the horizon. The afternoon sun began to dip behind Liyue's mountains. Called to meet someone, Childe became increasingly bored. Waiting and annoyed, he stood there observing his surroundings. Indeed Liyue was a gorgeous region, the hints of gold could be found throughout the landscape reminding the citizens who their ruler was.

Footsteps could be heard approaching the Harbinger, only stopping behind him.

"Hello~" The captain greeted.

"Good afternoon" Childe replied turning to face him.

"I requested to meet you here today for a peace offering" Kaeya smiled

As a master of lies and deceiving others, Childe could easily see past Kaeya's smile,

"If you have tapered with this gift I'll kill you" Childe smiled back

The tension was thick between the two men. After all their last exchange resulted in many injures.

"I swear it's only a peace offering nothing else, it will only bring positive changes to your life~"

"Very well then, I will accept your gift. Now never talk to me again" He snatched the box out of the gloved hand.

"Glady" The Captain sung

"See you never Sir Kaeya"

"Same to you Eleventh harbinger"

They both part ways, making it back to their chambers. Sitting on the couch, Childe began to unwrap the gift. He peered into the box,

"So that cheeky piece of shit knows how to cook" Childe muttered to himself

Slowly, Childe brought the skewer to his mouth, eating it in one bite. The texture was chewy, releasing a fruity flavour that covered his tongue.

"Not bad.." he muttered, continuing to consume the peace offering.

Finishing his 2nd serving of this dish he sat back into the couch. THe room was lit by the crackling flame, he smiled to himself the warmth of the fire brought memorise back.

In the past after he returned home from ice fishing he'd sit by the fireplace. His mother would scold him for staying out too long.

"You'll get a cold Ajax, your just as reckless as your father" His mother would sigh. He always loved his family dearly....then why was he away from them now?

The knocking on his door echoed throughout the room, bringing Childe back to reality.

"Master Tartaglia, you're meal is ready"

"Thank you I'll be joining them soon"

He made his way to the dining hall, walking into the room he saw a feast prepared on the table. He sat in the same spot as their last meal yesterday. Settling into his seat they began to eat.

As they dined further into the evening, Childe could begin to feel feverish. The hot and numb feeling spread throughout his body. Quickly excusing himself he wobbled out of the room.

The other 3 exchanged equally confused looks, the bard motioned Zhongli to go after his man.

Following the ginger, Zhongli began to call out his name,

"Childe" The harbinger did not turn around, he only kept wobbling away.

"Childe" Zhongli's tone became more stern only for silence to follow.

"Ajax!"

"I'm fine, you don't need to follow me Zhongli xiansheng" Childe slurred on his words, closing the door behind him.

Zhongli began to debate if he should still enter or respect his wishes. It was obvious that Childe was indeed not okay.

Worried for his lover Zhongli turned the doorknob, entering the room. It was dark, only dimly lit by the dying fire.

He felt a hand grip onto his arm, the next thing he felt was being slammed into the wall. Pinned against the wall, Zhongli felt someone's thigh push in between his legs.
