My POV

I go to roll over, but the pressure in my stomach stops me. I can't help but to let out a moan.

I recognized my dads voice and turned towards him

No, I called you and told you I was flying in to Ohio, don't you remember or were you to drunk(the way he said drunk sent a shiver down my spine)

Don't worry about that now, we will have plenty of time to discuss everything later

I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I know I am in trouble, but I feel safe knowing my father is here by my side.

A nurse named Gail keeps checking in on me. She is very nice and always calls me sweetie. She was the one who told me that I had my appendix taken out. I had no clue what that even was, but she explained it to me

My head and stomach hurt a lot

I will give you some medicine that will help with the pain in your stomach, as well as a Tylenol for your head, but first I want to take your temperature again okay?

Yeah

She takes my temp and types something into her portable computer 

It's still a little high, so that's probably what's causing your headache. I will be right back with the medicine sweetie(see what I mean), you just relax

My father let out a yawn, causing me to turn towards him.

Are you tired?

I'm exhausted, your mother told me to go to the hotel and take a nap, but I wanted to stay with you

The nurse came in with some medicine, a Tylenol, and a drink. I sat up and took the drink and Tylenol first, then took the medicine. The medicine for my stomach was in a liquid form, and had a sour taste to it. After taking everything Gail had handed me, I laid back down

Daddy?

When do we get to leave?

You have to stay here at least until your fever is gone, and the doctors make sure there is no infection. It could be a couple more days

I want to get out of here

You have to be patient

Right now, I am just glad that you are ok
