"Where is my brother?" I asked.

"He's still sleeping. Ano ang ginawa mo sa kapatid mo? Pumayat at nangingitim ang balat? I thought you will raise him well pero sa nakikita ko ay parang hindi mo nagawa." Mom smirked.

Napayuko naman ako dahil sa sinabi niya, I couldn't speak a word because that's what I told her before.

"Get to the point, ma. I asked fearlessly.

May inilapag itong envelope sa mesa. I looked at her for a while before she nodded.

"How dare you?! You forced him to do this!

"I didn't force him. I told him that his beloved ate abandoned him." Anito.

You know that I will never do that to my brother! Let say that you didn't forced him to signed it but you use his weak emotion! Why are you so cruel?!"

"You never listen! I told you to stay away from trouble, you always disgrace this family from your dirty attitude and behaviour!" She shouted.

"What did I do this time, huh? You abandoned  me for three years!" I said.

"You are rude and disrespectful as always. No wonder none of your friends owned you." She said. "And we never abandon  you, you left the house against your will."

My hands are now numb. My jaw clenched when I remember that day again.

Why is it like I'm the black sheep of this family? Tell me, ma!"

"I don't owe you an explanation. You know the  reason. You are the one who never listen, child." She is sarcastic.

"Where is my brother?! I don't care if he signed that fucking paper of transferring his share and inheritance to your name. Kaya ko siyang buhayin ng wala kayo."

"Really?" She said at may inilapag na papel ulit. "In the passed few years you never use the money in your atm cards, even if you are not belong in this family we still care for you to the point we never cut your cards. What makes your mind changed that in this month you use the money? Our money."

"I told you, children cannot live without the help of their parents. As so as you, darling." She said and drink his coffee gracefully.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"I need you to sign the papers to transfer all your shares and assists in my name. You will leave this house and go back to Bacolod with none, without your pride." She said.

"What kind of mother are you? You will let your daughter live a life with none?!"

You deprive your own family because of your pride. Now, what kind of daughter are you Athena?"
